Hypoglycemia

Merry Meet,

I was told that my body was fighting me 6 months ago…quitting smoking after over 20 years of hard addiction…losing weight…the tremendous amount of exercise I had started doing…the doctor told me I was not diabetic, but I did have hypoglycemia…really I paid no attention- he could have told me I had a sprained ankle…so much to do…I just kept going and added in meditation when I thought of it

About a month ago, I started having bad panic attacks and having a hard time speaking…I had no idea these were symptoms of this new calamity that had entered my life…I made an appointment with the doctor when I noticed how aggressive I had become…he sat me down to have a long chat with me…this was far more serious than I had originally thought

With yet another new menu plan…I started moving forward about a week ago…cigarettes will continue to be a thing of the past…I will continue to push my body…at this point I have lost 100 lbs…meditation is an everyday thing now…now I will also need to check my blood several times a day…Yuk

Your next question is about the paddle…it should not be…Janis, Marilyn, Steve, Chris and  Myself have been doing research…I can and will pull this off…we do need donations now:)

I am the Girly Pirate…The Lady Blue Horizon is ready to ride the waves…all gear is stowed…she and I are ready, willing and able…I am about to start 30 mile timed runs with and against the current…I found an awesome Landing flag from Amazon.com (this is also where Chewy’s life vest came from)…anyone who wants to paddle with me just give me a call…it would be great

Massage is going well…the clients are being supportive…they have seen my follow through…though they may think I am crazy, they know I will pull this off…we have such fun and many are finding information from everywhere…it has made time in the massage room fun and productive…I will be closed from 5/10- 8/15/12

American Boudica is being handled by Chris Bilton in my absence

School is going well…it is getting easier to concentrate and comprehend now that my blood is balancing…I was having a hard time

March 20th is almost here…I am so excited…what color candles will you burn…will you be watching the sky…I will be dancing by the Ostara fire…I am so excited

I am putting as much as possible in shut down mode so that Walter and Dale can hold the fort down while I am gone…I am glad that Janis is going…I feel by North Carolina, I will be passing exhaustion into ‘the state of robot’…she knows how to reach in that hermit shell and keep me going…if I need to slow down I will, but it is not my plan- it is my back up…if you would like to send a letter by kayak, I will carry 50 letters up…have your person meet me at the landing to pick it up…all of my internet friends are welcome to come…if you live near a Landing, please stop and say hello

I have heard every negative POS about this paddle…while some places have bent over backward to help…others…well we will just say they did not have time…I no longer have time for the negative nor will I make time for it…my focus is between school and the paddle…it does not mean I do not love or care about you- it does mean I will not get sucked into anyone’s vortex of crapp- I just do not have time

For those who have a free hand I could use some help…I will now get used to a new eating paradigm and continue to ready for the trip…continue to work on my bachelors…

May 15th is coming…where will you be???? I will be in a kayak to show the world that  women mean something and there is life after hell

 Blessed Be,

Being the Positive Difference

Merry Meet,

How are you…I am wonderful and happy for the most part…I work hard for it though….every day I see my dreams and work for them…I will explain…let’s look around my life and you may get some ideas…

Massage has been wonderful…the season of paraffin is here….such a great treatment…this works with massage way better than the stones….I like using the stones for target treatment…the room is cleaned deep once a week- vacuumed, dusted and wiped down…I choose not to raise my prices- my skills have grown and I own the ability to do so, but my clients need me to hold steady…I will visit it again next year when the economy is more stable…this is patient centered care at its best

School is going well…I am in a really heavy science class…this teacher likes to assign work…we are going from the cell to the god particle to biofuel (corn based)…biofuel is not an answer, it is equal to or worse than fossil fuel….dude, I am school and need to explore every end of a subject to keep up….my GPA in this class is currently a 92…I can do better…working hard here will pay off later/kind of like buying a baby a bond…so if I have not called or seemed preoccupied please understand I am deep in study...

American Boudica mourned the loss of our computer Mona…she was 9 years old…I got the fb message from nurse Leggs…Dr. Dave and I will see about reincarnating her…Chris and I will be working on the children’s book and I hope to release it by St Paddy’s Day...I am working with Amazon to release it on the kindle…It feels good to move forward again…can’t make money standing still, I think this is a valuable lesson…I will now go out of my way to make sure all work is backed up

The Circle of Boudica has been a productive place…the Goddess has seen fit to teach lessons with the New Year…though I have had to face a few harsh realities, many of the lessons were not focused at me…I am glad however, that I have been able to help others step up and move forward…I feel sad for those who did not pay attention for they are doomed to repeat it

The Sunshine Paddle grows on a daily basis…the first paddle of the year was done solo and I had a great time…Scotty at Siesta Key Bike and Kayak, let me get a kayak so I could leave the Blue Horizon at home…this month will be used to sew up all loose ends…next month will start the Atlantic practice sessions…this Girly Pirate is pulling off what they said could not be done…paying it forward is not easy, but highly rewarding…it is still my blessing to be doing this…I am very proud of my community…I am wanting to make it a better place  and I am willing to work for it…are you??? I have been asked often about donations….you can do it through the PayPal (dee@sunshinepaddle.com ) or through the snail mail-

The gardens took a hard hit with the brief cold snap…they look rather sad at the moment…Walt is thinking of building a training yard for the dogs in the back…that may actually be interesting…we also need to restring the clothes line…I do not think I will do that until the end of March…I need to clear off the dead and compost all the beds…this will give it time to break down by spring…

My brother’s first child is due soon…the poor girl is about to give birth to a Cooper…she has no clue of what she is in for…maybe it’s better that way…my parents will soon go to help when the baby is born…

Walter has started metal detecting…does anyone know about a town in Pasco County called ‘Mexico’…I can find it on antique maps, but cannot seem to get any other information…I am on a treasure hunt….lol

Beat Winter Blues

Learn to relax and meditate, as well as exercise out-of-doors.

Eat high fiber fresh local foods, fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, seeds, and beans.

This will aid the body in turning on its own immune defense and help turn on the happy chemicals of the body proper.

Okay…I hear ya…many have asked how I keep making lemonade out of lemons…it is not easy, but it is what is right…during this economy, I have done much for free…not because I devalue myself, but because I value others…I was raised in such a way that taught, me that all that was encompassed in my name (friends, family, animals, clients, water, land, etc…) was my responsibility and really, I do not wish to know another way…I enjoy being part of each…even though it is not easy at times, I am glad to be privileged to have that responsibility…I guess it’s a lesson you learn in the barn…everyone wants to ride the horse, but no one wants to shovel shit or clean the stall…I learned young that if I shoveled shit with a smile and a song that you are allowed to ride the best horses…the horses are usually happy with you and give you the best ride too…when you have respect for what is around you…it shines…
In my yard are plants that not only look pretty, but work to better the air and soil…my water is filtered- not just for family health reasons, but for sewage reasons too (and we have decent county water)…the animals- birdbaths, pond, dogs, cat- deserve clean water and it shows in their eyes/coats/colors respectively…

I love having my parents here…they can do or say anything they want and know I will love them…I really enjoy my adventures with Dad…shh I will never admit that to him…

I was once asked about cheating on my husband…I laughed and asked ‘Do you understand how long it took to find one to get it right? And I am going to screw that up for sex? Really?’…I was wiping away tears from laughing…cheating is for weak minded people of questionable ethics…I have now been married 13 years and looking over it, I am lucky…he is a good man on many levels and I was blessed the day my daughters picked him out…

The children…well, that is just the Goddess showing me she has a sense of humor or at least that I should have one…at times I think they are too smart for their own good…I think the top 3 phone calls of all time are-

1)    ‘Mom, Do you know how much milk costs or how much of it I drink?!!’

2)    ‘Mom, How am I supposed to pay this on what I make??!!’

3)    ‘Mom, My peppers don’t taste like yours!!!!”

The answers are- yes, carefully and slow down to learn….lol…the people above never heard the answer as I was usually hung up on after the statement above…lol…

Friends are cool as they are the family you get to choose…they are people who will be beside you forever…they are the person you can call at midnight or the one you would walk a mile to see happy

So I guess child, parent, spouse or friend…all take attention, patients and a good sense of humor….none of this is easy, but so worthwhile…all take work…the reward far outweighs anything money can buy:)

Blessed Be,

D

Lessons for Brittany

My young girl,

You have asked many questions of your auntie…I hope this helps…I love you

Never Give Away Your Family- any person who asks you to choose between them and your family are scum…even if your family was the worst, if a person really loves and respects you they will never ask this or expect this of you….when you are angry with your family hang up/walk away- never say I hate you or threaten the parents (some words can never be taken back and even when forgiven are not forgotten)…my parents and I started doing battle when I was young, I ran away at 13…through the years, it was a point I made (even then) to call once a week- let them know I was alive and safe…at least once every 3 months I would bring my sorry ass to one of them- for them to hug or yell at and for them to see me…these are my responsibility…you see when I die, I do not answer for anyone but me…if they, you or anyone else does not hold up their end, it is they who will have to answer for it…from what I have read in every religion, it is the same…responsibility is a big heavy word and action…it also has much meaning…I have rules for my kids…some strict- do your homework and chores, be polite, use manners- even when others did not…some funky- if you put a cup down at any party get a fresh drink poured in front of you or better yet drink water from a bottle you brought (help prevent people from dropping stuff in to the cup)- do not bring home an animal or a child unless you are ready to help with the responsibility of it…

Yes, after raising 38 children, I do in fact know most of this by heart…usually followed by the remark- “You think you know everything”…I do not know everything but, after 38 children…I have done so many things so incorrectly, that people took time to break it down so often, I now have it memorized;)

Next up bills…get one of those generic desktop calendars…write down when every bill is due…if it atomically comes out of your account highlight it in yellow and mark which account it is coming from…any incoming money should be highlighted in green and contain the amount and where it came from…all paid items should be highlighted in pink…a file should be kept for each month- receipts, notes, important information- at the end of each month, rip off that month from the calendar, put it in the file and close the file until tax time…if you pay at least $5 a month most will understand, some will be nasty (ignore them as negative energy brings negative happenings)…if you owe someone…do not hide, be honest and do your best…this does not always work in your favor, pull up the big panties and adult up…not easy, can be embarrassing, earns respect

No your right, I am not here to blow sunshine…I am here because these lessons will save you time, heart ache, money and energy…the lessons I wish someone had told me

Sex is a big responsibility too…nothing is 100% that you will not get pregnant…we did not have as much birth control, but we also did not have so many autistic children…just saying…everything you put into your body effects your child even if it is not in utero yet…I tell all girls get a profession before you think on having a child…this way if the guy walks out, you are not condemning yourself and child to a hard life of poverty or to be a burden to your family or his…this does not even discuss STDs…some do not kill…they stay with you for life….Other than a doctor’s note…I would have to inspect any private parts headed my way…a short time of happiness for a life of woe…hmmm

Are you still happy you asked me not to sugarcoat the facts…

Follow your dreams and explore your hobbies as long as it does not affect your life…I once knew a woman who loved to golf so much, she started to ignore her real life- husband, kids, job, bills…she thought she was going to be on the PGA thing and thought she was so good because people blew smoke up her skirt (this way they could sell her lessons and gear)…several of her friends tried to tell her, but she would not listen…now she has nothing- family, kids, job and most of her real and all of her fake friends are gone…if you ever have a question about something like this- Ask your mother/father/best friend…if you are really good, she/he will tell you and if you are not she/he will say that too…you may not like hearing it, but then you can enjoy it as a hobby instead of the next profession

Alright one last point of interest and I will ring the school bell…lol

Kids…not one of mine was planned…and most that I have ever known were not…in 46 years I have only known 3 to be planned…when a child comes, your life stops for 18 years…all time, money and effort go into this child…as a parent this is your responsibility… you will go without food, sleep, clothes and wear the latest sneakers from the clearance bin… at times, the other parent will walk out and enjoy life while you work 2-3 jobs…this goes back to the start of this conservation…there is NO absolution for those who harm/neglect children and or their responsibility to that child (child support/visitation)…just as there is NO absolution for children who do harm to or neglect their parents…you answer for what you do…

Welcome to being an adult my child…I am here anytime you need me…you see it is my responsibility as your aunt to try to help when I can…I love you

Blessed Be,

Auntie D

Positive and Happy

Merry Meet,

I am glad to see you…how have you been…it is nice to put your feet up and unwind…I see you are getting ready for fall…thank you for picking up yellow and brown candles for me...

Massage is going well…the movement in my hands has seemed to politely request muscles to give up their tension and knots…my clients have been very supportive and are excited about the paddle

School…well this is the last week of ‘Introduction to Chiropractic’…I look forward to starting a new class on Sunday;)

American Boudica Publishing is still on hiatus…thankfully this hiatus is happening while England switches from analog to digital…this has made phone calls almost impossible…we are excited to be going back in the next few months…we will keep you posted

The paddle is going well…my shape has been changing and so have my muscles…much of the weight is gone…none of this is easy…I am neither stupid or naive…I can and will accomplish the 1350 mile trip at the pace I have set…I have seen the shark videos (and the dolphin rape ones too)…I have heard all the nay sayers (paddle forest paddle/ do you have life insurance/ your too old/etc)…now they can all hear me…either help me or get the fudge out of the way…if you really need to talk smack, do so behind my back…I no longer have time for negative bull crapp…the money I raise will go to something I believe in deeply…I am helping to educate thousands of children…I would rather take my chances doing something I believe in than sitting on the sidelines whining about the way things are…get it…was at the Dunedin causeway this morning…my first solo venture…was a lot of chop on the water…I got a real work out…I feel like I could break coconuts off my chest…lol…my camera went down, so I had to pick up a disposable…the manager of my local Walgreens gave me a break and I got a waterproof camera gadget for only $4- VERY COOL…I did not finish the roll yet…I am not sure how the pictures came out, since I took the pictures from the boat and the waves kept me bouncing…lol…Chris and I have been working on my Bio…

I met with Tami Longaberger earlier this week…what a lovely woman…I have high hopes she will help sponsor us…she also came up with the idea of a Kayak Basket with the Sunshine Paddle emblem burned into the lid with so much money from each basket sold going into a national fund for abuse victims…how VERY AWESOME is that…I have also been working on putting together North Carolina…with the hurricane some areas are still not up…as always looking for volunteers along the route…
call me (813)907-6279 or e-mail me…I do not do the text thing;)

Mabon falls on the 23rd this year…I found some cute candles from a few years ago…I will be making a full chicken dinner for feast that night...you are more than welcome;)

On the 26th I will be turning 46…I am actually feeling very cool about this…I have walked through hell and I made it…life is good…I am feeling happy about where it is going…yes it is hard, but anything worth having is…

Relaxation Herb Tea

1/2 cup of fresh mint leaves (not the stems, they're bitter), rinsed, lightly packed (about 20 leaves)

1/2 cup of fresh lemon verbena leaves, rinsed, lightly packed (about 10-15 leaves)

4 Cups water

Juice of 1 lemon

Bring water to a boil, add leaves and juice…let stand 5-10 minutes…strain and enjoy (hot or over ice)

May you be blessed,

D

Feeling a rant

Today I am feeling a rant…hold on here we go…

Lets start with TV…2 and a half men had jumped the shark before Charlie Sheen left the show…turns out, he was really not funny sober…who knew… and the kid grew up …I am not an Aston Kutcher fan…the fact the show is still on is just an FU to Charlie…so NO, I will not watch the new show and honestly do not want to speak of it anymore…it speaks to how stupid Hollywood thinks we are...

In massage this week, I had to choke down a tough one…one of my clients was working 3 jobs to make ends meet…he was driving home late one night, got in a wreck and is now paralyzed from the waist down…one of my cancer patients has died 18 days after being told…I had yet another client go through foreclosure (he will be moving out of state)…one of my snowbirds had to take back a piece of property, when this 60 something man got there it was trashed…deep breath and take minds off some of these horrors (even if it is only for a few minutes)…the massage was like a sad ballet and went over from 5-10 minutes…the new Eddy Vedder album maybe all ukulele, but it has been awesome to work to…

In class this week, I took my final and post test…Professor Fogerty’s class on ‘Nutrition and Aging’ was very cool…I ended with a high B…I am ashamed at our current government for the way our elderly are being treated…they are not pawns nor should they be treated with such disrespect…the people who are on the job are pretty fantastic, really sad there are just so few…

American Boudica/The British Connection…Chris has been most helpful with the Sunshine Paddle…Dale and Dave too have been helping with the Paddle…with book 3 in the can and book 4 almost complete…the draft of 5 to the side, My focus has been on the Paddle…it has given Chris time to work on his painting…Dave and Rose are soon to chat about card/animal creative paper thing;)…both are so creative, I am dying to see what they come up with…

The Circle is celebrating Trish’s Bday…she has requested a naked bon fire and we know, I love to acquiesce that request…I have wood since Mabon is coming so, bon fire at my house…tr la la la…lol…Happy Bday Trish;)

The gardens are growing out of control…with so much steady rain and heat…it is so neat to check out how many colors are in bloom…the hibiscus I planted on Shinara has been blooming with a beautiful purpley flower…

This is a special time of year…Aloe Water is the best…the health benefits are too many for me to list (mostly digestive and skin)…should be consumed once a week…I am not a doctor, but do use this myself…squish aloe out of leaf by pinching on leaf slightly and sliding down leaf

Aloe Water

8oz water

2oz Aloe

Mix – can be done hot, cold or warm…can be refrigerated up to 6 hours

I personally add the aloe to hot water and stir it until it dissolves into the water…place in fridge to chill for 30 minutes…I use rose hip ice cubes and pour the aloe water over it…yummy and good for me

Okay let’s talk about the Paddle…I am not crazy and of you think I am, please call Trish at Sunrise and make a pledge…the website is open, Chris is doing some final editing…Monique and Marion have been great help editing and beta testing pages…Walter has got us brand new 2 way radio and digital compass for the trip and Dave went yard sale shopping with his son, they found a pair of Binoculars…Marion has been researching safety equipment and classes that I will need…Walter has had me swimming against the rip current and work safety drills off Honeymoon Island…Dale and Chris have been helping make and keep lists…Cooper has been helping me with postage and running errands…I have also been getting youtube vids on great white sharks swimming the eastern seaboard in the e-mail…my brother compared me to Forest Gump…my daughter said ‘We have insurance on you, go do what you want’…can you feel the love…that said…the menu is going well and weight loss is continuing…though I do find myself stretching a lot more and instead of just thinking about food- I really think about what I want to eat, what the food will do for me and how I want to eat it…

I found out that I had a ‘nodule’ in my breast…they are words that every woman dreads hearing…they feel it is benign, but wish to run tests to be sure…I have no fear, I am a woman of faith…everything happens for a reason…I will keep you posted

Much Love and Many Blessings,

D

Raise the Hand That Draws the Line

Good Morrow My Friend,

What a week..so glad you had time to visit me in the wee hours of the morning…here the coffee is like me, hot and sweet…lol

With all of my knowledge, I am more than just a massage therapist…I have become an assistant to the body proper…I love my job….the clients love the results I am getting from their body…1 full session last 50-70 minutes and still only costs $30…hint…hint…hint…

In school I am in a class for nutrition for the elderly…amazing class…I have to admit I am watching frightening view of what could be my future…they can not afford food/ rent/ prescriptions…at this point even cat food is more than they can afford…if you are reading this and under 60…by a meal for someone who is over 60 please…when we were kids, they were there for us…now it is time to return the favor;)

The British Connection…lol…American Boudica is still working on the sunshine paddle…Chris has also been selling some of his artwork….I am lucky to have a famous painter as my co-author…Dave too has been pitching in until such time as the web site is at the complete point (until the trip)…just after we will be releasing the children’s book…if you get a chance to check out Chris’s work, it is simple and stunning…

Summer being in full swing almost to the point of the first harvest, Mabon is one of my happy holidays…I have not chosen what I will prepare yet…will you be joining us, there is always room at the table…I am looking for purple candles…I am also on the look out for a table cloth of purple and green…give me a shout…All babies in the Circle seem to be doing well;)…I can hear the goddess dancing, all is quiet and peaceful at the moment…

The gardens are slightly overgrown at the moment (dads’ are immaculate) and it will leave it that way until Sept. 1 (up north your first cold weekend)…this will give my rootballs protection…dad has time and energy to check his everyday…this is a busy season for me, everything is in bloom and the sun is HOT…if I do my cut the first of Sept. it will give me bright growth through most of fall;)

The dogs are well…Walter and I took Chole out to the ocean for his first swim lesson…he loves the water and did wonderful…I do have a few claw marks, but am no worse for wear;)

The Sunshine Paddle is a labor of love…NO ONE working on this project is getting paid…I am signing off hours as time does count as a contribution to helping a charity project…we here are all NEW and are trying our best…I have had to write several letters lately (this is not easy), thankfully Monique has been pitching in, Chris has been editing the website, Marion has been consulting and editing, Dale has been covering the phones and Fritz’s advice has been a great help…I do thankfully not stand alone, I have wonderfully supportive help…each good in their own area and giving of their own time…Sunrise Shelter and myself are both blessed with their help in achieving our goals…I continue my journey…work outs are going well…we took Chole to Honeymoon Island Pet Beach…he had a great time…training him in the water worked me through the ringer…at the beach were many tiny clear fish in the ebbing surf…the water was clear… the menu for dinner was fresh cod and carrots…I handled a client when we got home, before dinner, so after dinner I was just too tired for desert…Kayak shopping has begun…I am in search of my trusty steed…lol…Crossing my fingers and keeping both eyes and ears open…my vessel is out there, she and I have just not met yet…for those who think I am crazy, pledge 1 penny a mile with Trish or donate to the trip on the website…we are currently putting up Trip pages, if you would like to meet with us or wish to add to the page please e-mail me…we would love to hear from you

Medicinal Uses for Green Tea

Green tea contains very powerful antioxidants. These destroy the free radicals in your blood stream, preventing them from prematurely aging your skin and damaging your eyes.

In recent studies, it has been shown that chemicals in green tea can block molecules that play a key role in developing lung cancer. The antioxidant 'EGCG', found in green tea, can inhibit or dramatically slow the growth of tumor cells. Asian, green tea-drinking communities do actually tend to have low rates of cancer.

Green tea has powerful anti-bacterial properties, helping to control dental plaque, stimulate the immune system cells and help fight off infection.

Diabetics can use green tea to regulate high blood sugar, while it can also help with high blood pressure and elevated cholesterol levels

It is 0520 and I need to stretch…may you all have a wonderful Sunday…share some time with someone you love…laugh for no reason…eat with balance;)

Blessed Be,

D

24 Days and Counting

I am glad you came to sit in the pool with me…it has been a helluva week in Muddville…relax, and I will fill you in…

I only saw 2 massage clients this week and worked with 3 clients on their respective menu/supplement choices…this left me with a good feeling on life…

School is on spring break and my new class starts tomorrow…’The Meaning of Health’…the title is interesting…I will fill you in on the class;)

I felt it is time for me to quit smoking cigarettes…I have now been tobacco free for 24 days…this is most of the reason I have been hiding out at home…breaking a 35 year addiction/ habit is in NO way easy…the Chantix made it much easier…though it still has been no joy ride…emotional is an understatement and my body has placed me in a few awkward situations

The Chantix makes it quite hard to focus…Chris and Rose have been supportive…lack of focus has made it quite hard to write…when I freewrite at the moment it comes out quite dark and twisted…not something anyone should see…vulgar and not in a good way…I feel frustrated, but I know this will pass with time…it is my body’s way of punishing me for taking away the tobacco

Since I have had alone time I have been able to get some reading done…I am part of the Amazon vine program…they sent me this book to write a review on…OMG, my friends…talk about AWESOME…if you are female and over age 35…there are just questions you always wished you could ask…the name of the book is ‘A Chronicle of Death, Life, and Vegetables’ by Joan Dye Gussow…she is very direct and very funny with a great deal of wisdom mixed in…so very much worth the read…truly amazing woman and all I am left with is how humble she really is

Mellissa and the lawn have been keeping me out in the yard…her husband has been a big help…the deep breathing has been helping greatly keeping me going…the end product is a beautiful garden…I have been fighting a cloud in the pool…the ph is correct…the chlorine count is good…it is this fine particles the pool is cleaning out of the air in my yard…I have tried a few old tricks before I rush out to try chemicals…

A long time family friend, Mary Folan of Norwood, MA passed away. She was a great woman and I lucky to have known her. She will be survived by her daughter Kathleen. Any of us should be so blessed with such a child.

Walter is now on a 12 on/12 off schedule…we are now trying to readjust our schedule at home…there have been a few bumps in the road, but we are getting used to it

I went out baby shopping for all our newborns in the Circle…I am excited…I shipped the packages to England and Chicago…I am putting the local ones together to deliver…I also sent a movie night out to North Carolina…I feel it is the closest I will get Tris to celebrate Beltane

I hope you are blessed and all is well…

Mellow Mind

Massage is going well…we are getting into spring and people are more active…I have been seeing a lot of strained muscles…really had me working hard

I took my final in public speaking…very fun class…I had Professor Rossi, she brings a lot to the table…I got an A…next class up is ‘antioxidants’ and it sounds quite interesting…I will have Professor Ferrell...she is a great teacher…great week here

Chris and I have been working on characters for the children’s book…as we come into spring, both of us have been on the go…we hope to have book 3 out soon

The Circle of Boudica has been a fun place to be…babies and baby animals are expected…ultrasound photos have gotten much clearer then when I was pregnant…I am going to apply to be a notary…this way I can marry people;)

About 4 days ago I started to take ‘Chantix’ in hopes of quitting smoking…32 year habit…so far I am doing okay…my nerves are a little tense, but it seems to be working…my brain is kind of having a war…when I want to hit someone, I go to the pool and do aquarobics…I have also been spending a lot of time in Farmville and Treasure Island…I can cuss at the computer and not hurt its feelings…honestly, I am feeling quite the BITCH and have been trying to avoid people until I do not feel so nasty…I tried the patch and the gum…neither worked for me…hypnotherapy…I did the group and it did not work for me (I have seen this work for others)…I did private sessions and those did work, the doc almost had me off and then he had a heart attack and died…I have noticed I am starting to get short of breath and my endurance is low so I really feel it is time to quit…when I pass 30 days with no hit from any cigarette we can celebrate…until then it is an uphill battle…

The garden is starting to bloom out…doing the aquarobics from the pool, I feel very lucky…I can see the whole back yard…it is cool to see how much is in bloom…we really do need some rain…85f and breezy depletes water from the garden

Shinara has not been well over the last few weeks…she carries a genetic pathology that kills most dogs before they hit 2 years old…she is now 9 and it is starting to get to her…I am afraid a sad decision will need made soon…the other animals have all been caring for her…it has been bitter/ sweet to see…the nurse reminded me that all of the pups from her litter died before they were one…she is so sweet…I hope she pulls through

I am looking for a travel trailer or pop up camper…I do not care if it needs work…it just has to be able to travel to me…if anyone should know of one please let me know

I have learned to play ‘Go’ and now I am looking for someone who wants to play…I am also looking for someone to play ‘Chess’ with…both can be done via e-mail…I sent a word search book to my granddaughter…I filled one puzzle out and sent it to her…she is now filling out one and will mail it back…it is a great way to teach reading and spelling…Chris, Rose, Dale and myself are doing something similar…we are passing a word search book among the 4 of us as kind of a bonding exercise…

My guitar lessons are going well…my fingers are kind of still bumbling and feel slightly bruised…this is a good thing according to the lessons on You Tube…I like learning this way…it is more comfortable to go at my own pace

Since the return from my stay on the moon…

Merry Meet,

I am happy to see you…I hear you had a busy week…so have I…sure, I will be glad to fill you in…there is so much I could use your thoughts on…

Massage is usually my favorite place to start…I had a terminal patient pass away…I was happy to be of his service, but sad to lose a friend…he was a good man who helped a lot of people and took excellent care of his family…he is no longer in pain…so, needless to say I was feeling sad and then, I had an 80 year old ask me for a hand job…I am a massage therapist…NOT a hooker...this is NOT Thailand or the orient…Any Licensed Massage Therapist giving happy endings does not respect the profession or themselves and does not need to hold a medical license…I know the body, I enjoy helping it to heal…I want my patients to have a long, pain free life and I am happy to help it happen…I am in deep study to give the best service possible…sorry, I just do not know of a hooker who has paid more than $50,000 for an education and almost another $10,000 in licensing…yes, I am a tiny bit irked…

In school, I have started my public speaking class…very cool teacher…I think the approach in this class is neat…it is built on not only speaking, but also the art of listening…should have been called a public communication class…this class is worth the money

Chris has been in a mood to paint…which is great…the cover for ‘Other Peoples Karma’ (book 3) will soon be done…I am so excited to see it…the children’s book has been a challenge…to think as a child would is not as easy as it sounds….Book 4 is still working itself out…the writer’s block has lifted and now too much wants to come out at once…I am trying to get ‘Love is Like an Onion’ on kindle…Amazon has made many changes and I am working on it…

How will you celebrate spring??? My seeds and bulbs have been planted…I am excited for Ostara…some of my older bulbs have started to bloom…it looks to be a wonderful spring…the crate myrtles are coming back wonderfully…lets you really feel the restorative value of the season…

Tristan will be graduating and the folks will be going to North Carolina to see her…then they will drive back as she will be on leave…YEA…Dansir will be coming home to spend the night…my heart going boom, boom, boom…my girls will be home for a day…I have missed them

The critters are doing well…Chole is growing by leaps and bounds…Quintus still lives up to his name…the change of season has brought out the frisky side of Shinara…the gliders have been very talkative lately…the seem to like to talk to Quintus and Chewy

I will be making compost tea tomorrow….stop by and pick some up if you want…since I will be changing out the pond water, I will be making a big batch…if you need to know how to make it, let me know…I am sure my yard will love the boost

Toothache Pain???

Use clove oil or grind up some cloves with a little and make paste

Apply to effected area for quick relief and get your butt to a dentist

Also Note- If you just had a tooth pulled and can not yet eat, may I suggest ‘Muscle Milk’…in my opinion, it has a less gritty aftertaste than the others, but make sure it is really cold (not frozen) and shake well

Well my friend…I am glad to see you smile…

May you be well and truly blessed,

D

Happy Day in Muddville

Merry Meet,

Hail and good day to you….glad to see you are feeling well…yes…as a matter of fact I am in a great mood…let me fill you in…

In the past few days I have had a few great clients…our conversations while I have been working on them have been very insightful and given me a great deal to ponder…very cool

Chris chastised me…much needed…about slacking off on my writing…he was right and it was the foot in the ass I needed to get me motivated…American Boudica will also start publishing a new author…Boudica Book 3- Other Peoples Karma, will soon be out…the children’s book will be out soon after

Week 3 of math…I am no longer losing my mind…I have accepted the fact I will not get an A and made peace with it…I am studying my heart out and hope to pull a B…I do love math and the teacher is great…

In the Circle, we are awaiting babies…moms are all as happy as possible and doing well…many of us have started seedlings getting ready for Ostara…I have to pick up pastel, bright candles…I am also planning the feast…

The same day the income tax came in the fridge and washer gave up the ghost…we were able to get reconditioned appliances…it took most of the return, but the house no longer shakes when the rinse cycle hits and the sound of a diesel is no longer in the kitchen when the fridge compressor motor kicked in…

We ordered a bee starter kit for dad for Christmas…it arrived yesterday…Walter built it this morning…Dad has been worried about the bees…I am psyched about this and dying to see what he will do with it…it looks cool

The puppies are like having babies in the house…they require quite a bit of attention…Cole has started training and doing well with it…I tried to work with Quintus…he did not take it well…Chewy has been a big help with herding them up…It takes 2 of us to let the heard loose in the yard…I am getting a lot of exercise

A friend sent me Jeopardy game for the Wii…I am excited to try it…I have also been sent the game of ‘Go’…although that I will have to study before I play…I am still looking for the Egyptian game ‘Senet’…

I have been cooking…pot roast, rolls, breakfast rolls, ham…it is a great way to relieve stress…although it does not make the waist any smaller…

I will be cleaning up the yard this week…green is sprouting every where…I will take pictures…my pool needs to be cleaned and made ready for summer…spring seems to be here early…I am ready for a hot summer…

Sermon from the Purple Planet

Good afternoon my children…let me welcome you to the purple planet…it is my great good fortune that you have come to share today with me…I have been asked many questions and I thought it would be a good time to talk…

I know money is beyond tight…I have been asked how I can stay so positive…I have had a hard life and even when I made good money, I raised so many children…I was always broke…children’s hospital bills and such have always held my credit down…so what is happening now is nothing I am not used to already…my heart goes out to those who have lost everything…they are not used to being poor…this is a new world to them…not one that is being handled well…IT WILL NOT LAST FOREVER…many hear those words, but do not understand them…they were not ready for the current situation to last this long…when it does come to an end…where do you want to be…I want to be better educated…I want to open a new health and care office…I would like to see my books at a selling point…to accomplish this I must stay focused…I do not have time for the energy that would be used by negative vibes…at times I hurt…I see many of my family and friends lose jobs, businesses, homes…I then stop and think about life…my own personal life has crashed in a major way about 12 times…each time I was left with nothing, but my family and friends and had to rebuild from the ground up…every time this happened, I became stronger…instead of wallowing in self pity, I picked myself up, dusted myself off and tried to make better choices…let me be clear…this was NEVER an easy process…I was never so stupid as to give away my family…during these times, I actually did what one person called ‘circling the wagons’…I pulled everyone closer…I made it into a time of unity and team work…this way I was never alone, they never had to worry and everyone was on the same page…do not be afraid of looking or sounding stupid…talk to those you love, be honest and have no fear…a loved one beats taking a psychotropic meds…they may not always say what you want to hear, but that is what being and having real friends is all about…I am blessed…I have many friends and a wonderful family…I am working on my degree (just made Dean’s list for the second time)…by moving my business home, I still have one…though it is slow…it is still going and growing…how great are my clients…I now have a publishing company and 2 books on the market…The Circle of Boudica assemblage has been a congregation of wonderful people…though I am not making much money, I am building a solid foundation for the future…It is a lot to be positive about…

I have been asked about how Walter and I resolve money issues…all money made goes into one account…on the wall hangs a calendar…EVERY bill or paycheck is on it…it is color coded…this way we can both see what is paid, what needs paid or how much money was made…he has taught me that marriage means equal partnership and responsibility…I made the calendar and keep it up to date…he never asked this of me…why would I do it…fair question…it used to upset me in prior relationships, that I would turn over all the money I made and never knew where it went…as long as the bills were paid I never really cared, it was just the point…I never wanted him to feel that way…though I basically handle the money, he has a say and knows what is going on…it does not matter who makes more when it all goes to the same place…it has never been his or mine…it is all ours…a different concept than most have…it works for us though

Children are really amazing creatures….it does not take much to make them happy…for those who can not give what they once gave their children…please stop beating yourself up and make better choices…money is tight…your child may have to go to public school…it will make a better adjustment if you do it before you put the home in jeopardy…I was told of some people not wanting their children to go to the local school because the school was crap…this may be true, but I ask, what are you willing to do to change it…I worked 2-3 jobs…the most important thing is to make sure my children are well educated…I brought in extra supplies…I would barter and beg to get anything the teacher might need in the class room…I checked homework…if the child was not holding up their side, I would raise hell…if it was the teacher, I would speak to them…I was never a jerk…probably because mom was a teacher for 35 years…if that did not get me anywhere, I would go to the principal…I only had to go to a superintendant once…because I would take time to go drop stuff off…the teacher felt support and the child was in a good environment to learn…I did get ticked off at a school once…while living in Clearwater, I did home school my twins…when I moved into Tampa, the twins knowledge was far ahead of children of the same age and they had to be put into gifted class…they may want $100 sneakers, but will be happy with kicks from Kmart…shopping at the thrift store does not make you a bad parent…for those who are sports junkies…my friends tell me now you can watch craigslist.org…if the stuff does not get mutilated, people post it…my friend in Maine thought her son was going to have to drop out of pee wee hockey because he had out grown the equipment and she could not afford new…she found a complete set up for him…best part was she got it free…mostly what they want is time with you…a card game (free) means as much as a trip to the movies ($50)…bowling ($25) beats the amusement park ($150)…if you are less stressed by the money you spend, then your company is more enjoyable

I think in about 3 years we will be okay…you see those in Washington are doing us no good and we all know it…when we have the ability to get rid of the current regime, I believe the American people will be better off…in the end…I think, WE, the American People need to grab our bootstraps and pull ourselves out of this…stop screaming at each other and take time to help each other…the next Thomas Edison walks among us now…I do not know who he or she is yet, but under pressure such as this real genius is born…how would I make changes…the healthcare bill needs to be fixed in favor of the patient…the FCC would have a TV moral code to enforce…that would include all cable TV…stop pushing drugs off all kinds on TV…Sunday blue laws should go back into effect…this would benefit both the worker, the worker’s family and the business…if you are on unemployment for more than 60 days you need to volunteer for a state or local agency…this benefits the worker and the state…no…I don’t have all the answers…just some really good ideas…yes, as a matter of fact, I have brought several up to state and local government…I was born Bostonian…Politics is in my blood…the Floridian in me states I should not find blame, only ways to fix the problem

My medical advice for today…if you want the most natural form of medicine…look for practitioners who believe in ‘Integrative Medicine’…these are people who have education in conventional and alternative medicine… why take pills if you can do something natural…why do something natural if you need a pill…Integrative Medicine can draw from both…this way the patient gets the most complete service…

May you be blessed to look inside and like the person you find…if you do not, work on the changes in your life to make it happen

Blessed Be,

D
