CANCER…there I screamed it and beat it;)

As many of you know…I am going to school for natural medicine…though I was always good about nutrition, I have learned a great deal…I not only talk the talk, I can and often do, walk the walk…I wrote myself an anti-cancer/inflammation menu and got on it over a year ago…I honestly feel that this was a big factor in my finally being able to quit cigarettes

When I quit, I used Chantix…I had an event in my chest…the doctor ordered me an ultrasound of the chest to view the heart…this was 3 months ago

On Wednesday of last week the doctor received the report from the radiologist finally…it said I had a cyst that was more than 1inch in diameter in my breast…as soon as his medical assistant saw this a rush was put on…

I have been topless so much in the last 48 hours, I feel as though I should be on a beach in Brazil…

I went for the bloodwork yesterday…freaking vampires need to leave me with some blood…then I went for the next ultrasound…the girl can not find the cyst…really…its gone???…boobs squished every which way…couldn’t they at least have a cute guy doing this, then it might be at least bearable…lol…the girl was very nice, but seemed a little rattled when the cyst was just gone…I went home happy…using food as medicine works

I was home this morning when the phone rang…would I come back and let doctor big wig examine me and do another ultrasound free of charge…cysts of this size do not just disappear…they had requested the films from my doctors office…I agreed and went back…the young lady gelled me up and looked again…she looked at me so worried and said ‘1inch is pretty big and you’re a massage therapist…Can’t you feel it?’…she went to get the doctor looking worried…the doctor explained it was very visible on the first one several months ago and he would find it…oh yea…more fucking gel…he looked so very stressed (I chuckled on the inside, conventional medicine practitioners miss out on what nature can heal)…I had used them for other issues…he checked several parts of my body against my old films and found my body to be in better condition than it was 10 years ago…YEA!!!!

All cysts, except the one in my foot are gone…my arthritis has been reduced…I sit here crying…I feel very happy…all the work is paying off…I do not have cancer, the relief makes you almost exhausted…it also shows you can be a big part of your own healing…it feels groovy to be healthy

The body is so cool and I am so impressed with the education…my doctor and this natural lifestyle thing work way better than the meds conventional medicine would have me on for my pathologies…and it is way cheaper

If I could wish for you any one thing, it would be good health…may you be blessed with the Awesome feeling of wellness…

Blessed Be,

D

‘plant crack’ and other things

Okay we are going on a long trip this blog…I am feelin a little old school…it seems my life has gone through many transitions and I feel more coming…

Massage has been going well for summertime…I got lost on a woman last week as she had so many knots and we were chatting…thought I had gone about 10 over and ended up 5 short…I gave her money off, but it left me feeling bad…I tend to work without a clock since I usually go over (and because I work for myself) this is no big deal…I just hate getting shorted time and it bothers me to short anyone…I have been looking at banners for my fence as a new form of marketing…anyone had any luck with this???

School is going okay…the information and reading is quite challenging…wish I could say the same for the class…its not gonna kill me, just make stronger

American Boudica Publishing has been shut for a week so we may get our families ready for summer…good weather in England and lack of focus, find us more productive in the yard…we will back with news soon

In the Circle we have welcomed 2 more babies…so far 2 boys and 1 girl…I got to work on one at 2 hours old…so cool…Beltane was awesome…the fire was strange…could have sworn I saw Jeff…purple, green and orange speak of a bountiful harvest

Melissa is heaven sent help in the garden…as I have worked very hard at restructuring the soil…often time developers’ peel off topsoil and replace it with sod…if you purchase property like this or with very poor soil your only option is to compost…working with different covers and plants is good too…even if they die…it makes your soil stronger…a friend gave me some cactus…with time, love and occasional compost…they have grown over the last 5 years…the friend stopped to see me last year and was disappointed….everyone else he had given them to had used miracle grow and the others had grown huge…he called today…winter had killed all of theirs and could he stop and get some cuttings…miracle grow or ‘plant crack’ as I call it- makes plants grow big, but weakens the internal structure…so if you plan to keep the plant in the garden for several years best to use compost...my plants to longer to grow, but are quite strong...

I am now at day 29 with NO tobacco…day 5 without Chantix…little stressed, but doing well…smells are horrid…food tastes awful and I have lost 25lbs…

I had a new friend take his own life…I am sorry the pain in his life was more than his self worth…he is no longer in pain and for that I am happy…things like this really make you cherish those around you

10 deep clearing breaths (in through the nose out through the mouth) will not only help you relax, but also help you add focus to your mind…at times you will need to do more than 10…believe it or not your emotional health is directly connected to your physical health…keeping positive and laughing will aide in keeping you healthy…Did you laugh today?

May you be blessed,

D

24 Days and Counting

I am glad you came to sit in the pool with me…it has been a helluva week in Muddville…relax, and I will fill you in…

I only saw 2 massage clients this week and worked with 3 clients on their respective menu/supplement choices…this left me with a good feeling on life…

School is on spring break and my new class starts tomorrow…’The Meaning of Health’…the title is interesting…I will fill you in on the class;)

I felt it is time for me to quit smoking cigarettes…I have now been tobacco free for 24 days…this is most of the reason I have been hiding out at home…breaking a 35 year addiction/ habit is in NO way easy…the Chantix made it much easier…though it still has been no joy ride…emotional is an understatement and my body has placed me in a few awkward situations

The Chantix makes it quite hard to focus…Chris and Rose have been supportive…lack of focus has made it quite hard to write…when I freewrite at the moment it comes out quite dark and twisted…not something anyone should see…vulgar and not in a good way…I feel frustrated, but I know this will pass with time…it is my body’s way of punishing me for taking away the tobacco

Since I have had alone time I have been able to get some reading done…I am part of the Amazon vine program…they sent me this book to write a review on…OMG, my friends…talk about AWESOME…if you are female and over age 35…there are just questions you always wished you could ask…the name of the book is ‘A Chronicle of Death, Life, and Vegetables’ by Joan Dye Gussow…she is very direct and very funny with a great deal of wisdom mixed in…so very much worth the read…truly amazing woman and all I am left with is how humble she really is

Mellissa and the lawn have been keeping me out in the yard…her husband has been a big help…the deep breathing has been helping greatly keeping me going…the end product is a beautiful garden…I have been fighting a cloud in the pool…the ph is correct…the chlorine count is good…it is this fine particles the pool is cleaning out of the air in my yard…I have tried a few old tricks before I rush out to try chemicals…

A long time family friend, Mary Folan of Norwood, MA passed away. She was a great woman and I lucky to have known her. She will be survived by her daughter Kathleen. Any of us should be so blessed with such a child.

Walter is now on a 12 on/12 off schedule…we are now trying to readjust our schedule at home…there have been a few bumps in the road, but we are getting used to it

I went out baby shopping for all our newborns in the Circle…I am excited…I shipped the packages to England and Chicago…I am putting the local ones together to deliver…I also sent a movie night out to North Carolina…I feel it is the closest I will get Tris to celebrate Beltane

I hope you are blessed and all is well…

A Time of Mourning

Thank you for coming,

Shinara Ku started developing tumors about 3 months ago…we regrettably had to return her to the Goddess today…a sweet ding-bat and a wonderful friend…we buried her beside Cosmo…I would love to thank the wonderful staff of Kindness Animal Hospital (Nebraska Ave, Tampa)…They have helped me with my animals for 10 years…really great people…she will be deeply missed

I am 3 days without tobacco…it has been a true battle…I have only gotten this far because of the Chantix (day 12)…I have been a little out of sorts…I am starting to come back around…thank you for understanding

Massage has kept my mind occupied…I have not been able to focus enough to write…the puppies have kept me on the run…Chole is growing more everyday…my guitar lessons are going okay…my fingers are starting to work correctly…YEA…school is going quite well…I never knew there was so much to learn about antioxidants…extremely interesting…

Mom is in MA working on Longaberger shows…Dad is back to building his garden…he will be going up to see his friends in MA for a few days…Tris is back in North Carolina…it was nice to have her home…She recently went to a Marine Ball and sent back pics of a smashing dress…Dansir is hoping to be hired at Walgreens

I have been blessed with help in the garden…Mellissa has been helping me get cleaned up for summer…many of my spring bulbs have been popping

In the Circle we celebrated Ostara and are getting ready for Beltane (May1)…candles are brown, green and blue…I am excited about the bon fire…

The pool has been great place for meditation…I am really getting into breathing…it is not as easy as it sounds…I find it is making getting through this hard time much easier

May you all be blessed…

Good Day in the Morning

Massage has had me hopping all week…sorry, if you had been trying to reach me…lets chat now…the coffee is on, go grab a cup…here let me wipe the table down

Massage is busy this week…YEA…I do try to help others getting ready to take the test…I had one young therapist call for advice…I helped her study to pass her test…now she was ready to run her first advert…she lives in Maine….I love to know Therapists in every state…this way I always have someone to send my clients to when they travel or move…Massage Envy limits the types of therapy they can give and medical massage is not one of them, so I do not to send clients there…besides, if I am going to pay that kind of money, I would rather go to a spa…I have raised my prices to $50 an hour…I hated doing it, but with so many costs going up…I had no choice

The new class in school is ‘Antioxidants’…so far very interesting…I will post more when I fully comprehend it…all I can say right now is the body is the most amazing place…I am glad to be in this school, what they teach is not only shown how the concepts apply in class, but also how it applies to the real world and where it can and should be used

Dale and I are working on bringing Chris over…we feel this will help the books…it will be fun to work with him side by side…it will be cool to see his face for the first time…it is true, we have never met face to face…amazing when you think we have co written/published 2 books with others in utro…

In The Circle this week we welcomed Cassy…she is a beautiful baby…her parents look like they have seen a little piece of heaven…I think they have…the very dry land got rain this week…so many blessings this week…I am a lucky girl

I am on day 8 of Chantix…not very easy…they keep telling me how much better things are when you don’t smoke…my head has been more than slightly bent…this is not the fault of Chantix (or at least I do not think so)…it is the fault of 32 year habit withdrawing from my system…the pill changes the sensation of smoking…for the first time, I feel like I will be successful with this quitting thing…I am happy for those of you who have gone cold turkey or done it with the patch…it just never worked for me…the best part is it only works against the nicotine so ‘nothing’ else is hindered…soon, I too will be cigarette free

I am still working with my fingers and the guitar…it is quite funny…kind of like the cigarettes, I will soon be looking back at this stage…life is funny…also, the guitar keeps my fingers busy so they do not have time to miss holding a cigarette

Shinara will be going to meet the maker this week…she started to do much better…thought maybe she had tangled with something and got bit…in the last 24 hours she is doing worse than before…she has been a good friend and member of the family…Walter will be crushed, but in this case you must do what is best for the animal (not you)…this is NEVER easy, nor should it be…not all lessons in life are made of sunshine and rainbows…the best ones leave scars on your heart

Yes, I have your cuttings…check out my new fig tree…yes, my plant man came through for me…I will be cloning my ‘yesterday, today and tomorrow’ plant…do you want any…the yard is starting to get full of flowers again…

With 3 days of rain I feel like a duck…I miss the pool…I am going to freeze when I go out there today…really stoked though…I love my aqua-workout…besides, it is hard to smoke in the pool;)

I am VERY over Charlie Sheen…really do not care about Libya…not to be mean, but neither helps put food on my table…I feel sorry for the children of Japan…I hope the adults stop killing Whales so I do not have to see it happen again…lesson for today…do not fuck mother nature…she can be quite mean when provoked

Lol…yes, I am losing what little mind I ever had…glad to see you smile

May you be blessed,

D

Mellow Mind

Massage is going well…we are getting into spring and people are more active…I have been seeing a lot of strained muscles…really had me working hard

I took my final in public speaking…very fun class…I had Professor Rossi, she brings a lot to the table…I got an A…next class up is ‘antioxidants’ and it sounds quite interesting…I will have Professor Ferrell...she is a great teacher…great week here

Chris and I have been working on characters for the children’s book…as we come into spring, both of us have been on the go…we hope to have book 3 out soon

The Circle of Boudica has been a fun place to be…babies and baby animals are expected…ultrasound photos have gotten much clearer then when I was pregnant…I am going to apply to be a notary…this way I can marry people;)

About 4 days ago I started to take ‘Chantix’ in hopes of quitting smoking…32 year habit…so far I am doing okay…my nerves are a little tense, but it seems to be working…my brain is kind of having a war…when I want to hit someone, I go to the pool and do aquarobics…I have also been spending a lot of time in Farmville and Treasure Island…I can cuss at the computer and not hurt its feelings…honestly, I am feeling quite the BITCH and have been trying to avoid people until I do not feel so nasty…I tried the patch and the gum…neither worked for me…hypnotherapy…I did the group and it did not work for me (I have seen this work for others)…I did private sessions and those did work, the doc almost had me off and then he had a heart attack and died…I have noticed I am starting to get short of breath and my endurance is low so I really feel it is time to quit…when I pass 30 days with no hit from any cigarette we can celebrate…until then it is an uphill battle…

The garden is starting to bloom out…doing the aquarobics from the pool, I feel very lucky…I can see the whole back yard…it is cool to see how much is in bloom…we really do need some rain…85f and breezy depletes water from the garden

Shinara has not been well over the last few weeks…she carries a genetic pathology that kills most dogs before they hit 2 years old…she is now 9 and it is starting to get to her…I am afraid a sad decision will need made soon…the other animals have all been caring for her…it has been bitter/ sweet to see…the nurse reminded me that all of the pups from her litter died before they were one…she is so sweet…I hope she pulls through

I am looking for a travel trailer or pop up camper…I do not care if it needs work…it just has to be able to travel to me…if anyone should know of one please let me know

I have learned to play ‘Go’ and now I am looking for someone who wants to play…I am also looking for someone to play ‘Chess’ with…both can be done via e-mail…I sent a word search book to my granddaughter…I filled one puzzle out and sent it to her…she is now filling out one and will mail it back…it is a great way to teach reading and spelling…Chris, Rose, Dale and myself are doing something similar…we are passing a word search book among the 4 of us as kind of a bonding exercise…

My guitar lessons are going well…my fingers are kind of still bumbling and feel slightly bruised…this is a good thing according to the lessons on You Tube…I like learning this way…it is more comfortable to go at my own pace

D’s advice for all sprains and strains (first 24 hours)-

Rest

Ice

Compression

Elevation

-keep in mind a bad strain will be worse on the second day

-if pain or strain is severe seek medical attention

Well my beautiful friends…we have come to the end of another blog…May you all enjoy an amazing day…May all your dreams be mystical…life is good…take a deep breath and smile

Blessed Be,

D
