Big Changes in the New Year

Merry Meet,

The new year is bringing many changes to my life and I am now ready to discuss much of it…as you have seen in the last few months, you all can tell I have been quite busy…let us sit and chat while I have a moment to breathe…grab a coffee and a chair…get comfy and I will fill you in

First up is school…my dissertation has been published…I am now a doctor…that just does not seem real yet…also, I have been in school for 14 years…the first time I did not need to log into class was VERY strange and brought on a strange form of loss and depression…though other students and professors tell me this is normal, I was still sad and missing going to class…on January 19, 2019, I will be walking in the ‘All Campus’ graduation ceremony in Orlando…after my first husband beat me so badly, I was told I should go on disability and college was out of the realm of what I would ever be able to do – all I can say is follow your dreams, work for them and you can accomplish almost anything…I did

Nature’s Power and Energy is closing…we have worked hard to create a patent on the HydroQueen…our patent is now up for sale with a broker…I love inventing but, right now I do not have time to devote as this company needs…it has been open for 8 years, took on no dept, conducted 3 major, infield scientific experiments, an obtained a patent…to do this we have had to work with the alphabet soup of governmental departments, shared knowledge and created an amazing network…my fire system will be shelved for now…as of December 31, 2018 this company is closed – any request for information or on employees should be directed to me at wrooney2@yahoo.com

The Sunshine Paddle will also be going through changes…we will be closing the website and moving all data to the Facebook page…the paddle will still be happening on 4/20 as every year…no one gets paid and all donations go to the running of the paddle and split among charities…my thinking is to reduce costs by shutting the website down – we will keep the Photobucket, captain’s log and continue to post in Facebook…thank you for understanding

The Circle of Boudica will now be run by Lady Tabitha…again this is due to not being able to invest time needed to take care of it properly…after 12 years at the helm, it is time to pass it on…Tabitha has been working with the members for over a year now and has my full support…for anyone who has questions or needs help, please contact me...I will continue to be a part of the group, just no longer the leading role...

Teaching English to children and adults in China online for a company called First Future has been a challenge…learning to work in a different country is not easy…I am however thankful for the opportunity…it is Xi Jinping who requires the people that teach in China to carry international credentials…along with TESOL credentials, one must learn more about computers and internet connections than you ever considered to keep classes going…my students are amazing and make getting up between 3 am and 4 am worth it…also with a 13 hour time difference, I am working a split schedule…this is not easy and has put my time off at a premium…

American Boudica Publishing and Media is where my heart is…we are producers of the written word, photography, video, fine art, fun graphics and custom sculpture…we do this across several different medias like: books, academic papers, vinyl, sublimation, wood, metal, painting, epoxy, etc.…we create not only books, academic papers and fine art but, also clothes, home goods, how to and crafting videos, and custom work…this has been a joy and a blessing…with the ability to expand our creativity Chris and I have expanded the American Boudica, Girly Pirate and Sea Tribe brands…we have sold and shared product in 30 different countries around the world…at the end of the day, I feel blessed and thankful to be part of it all

You may wonder why so many big changes, the last few months have been hard…several situations have needed my attention, I was stretched too thin to help with much…an answer to this is to clear up some of my schedule…the big change allows new opportunities to present themselves…I look forward to what is to come with great excitement and anticipation…So, as I transition forward, I will continue to teach and do my art…I will continue to paddle for charity…I am also looking to gain new teaching opportunities…at 53, I want to enjoy my life and to do this it had to be objectively looked at…I completed school and my patent…I am putting my focus into what makes me happiest…those who love me will understand and those who don’t never will…I now weigh anchor for new and uncharted territory

Thank you for taking the time to check in…I am alive and well…soon life will slow down to a normal pace again…even though it felt like minutes, I looked up and 5 years were gone…it has been crazy and amazing…I lost many along the way…it makes me happy you have been patient with me and are still here…May 2019 bring us the blessings we have all worked for....

Merry Meet,

I too am glad to slow down a bit…it has been several months since I could breathe…I am happy you had time to come and spend with me…I know I have been locked away for a while but, look at all that is going on…

The big news is school…I have passed my dissertation defense…my dissertation is currently at the editor – then to the publisher…I will walk for my graduation in January…people have started calling me doctor, I am not used to it and still looking around to see who they are talking to…lol…my final choice in dissertation subject matter was supply chain strategy…it was a load of work and I am proud of it…

American Boudica has started the creative wheels rolling again…this is reflected in our web-store…we are getting the Boudica series ready for a new installment…along with Girly Pirate brand, we have now started the Sea Tribe brand…we welcomed new coworkers Gunny and Alex to the merry mayhem Chris and I have created…as a brand American Boudica uses everyday people to model our clothes, not models – this way you can see it on different shapes and sizes…BTW our models take the pics so, you can note different areas too…our products are born out of a sense of adventure and a need for quality…some items are produced in our offices and we also work with vendors from around the globe, providing they meet our quality and cost standards…I do not put them online unless we have them in-hand…if you need a larger order or see something you want you see in one of our adverts, just message me and we will do our best to take care of you…

Natures Power and Energy is in the final weeks of grant paperwork…I thought for a while that I would not have time to put it together but, they were nice enough to grant me an extension on the work I had already completed…my construction crew has mastered solar and the new office has not had a failure yet…honestly, inventing is harder than pregnancy…hurry up and wait…tons of paperwork and lots of sales…it feels as though you sell yourself more than the product…I think I can fine tune the HydroQueen and the fire system has gone through a mock trial on a computer…the Facebook page promotes a sustainable view, we do this so people can be educated and feel comfortable in the sustainable concepts and thinking…

It is with a heavy heart that I am closing Rooney Detail…it was fun and gave me the ability to make money while I was in school…I loved the ability to work on some awesome cars and for some great clients…now that school is over, I have the time and energy to focus my efforts on my 2 primary businesses – this is the reason, I choose to close…I am keeping the equipment to continue working on my own cars:)

The Sunshine Paddle has been busy making donations…cash was taken to the abuse shelter and the food bank from donations…collected cardboard in the children’s recycle dumpster…the Photobucket and website has been paid through donation…a goods drive allowed us to drop a truck of household goods at the abuse shelter thrift shop…it is a great blessing to help the community…

In the circle of Boudica we celebrated Litha with great abundance…the veggie garden has fed us well…the grass is growing, flowers are blooming…and peace has been given…life is good…if you can not see the beauty of life around you, maybe it is time to change your perspective…

I was gifted with my grandson for 7 months…his dad was at college and mom was in officer candidate school – them doing wonderful things gave me time to spoil him…from a great school to awesome adventures, he made life fun…he has gone back to his parents and I miss him very much but, I am glad he is in a happy place and doing well…and I just have to say – OMG, the life of a 5 year old is busy…

The gardens are a riot of color…it feels good to start cleaning up the yard, it will take a few months to get it back under control…poor Walter has had to help in the hundred-degree heat…if he had his way, we would have a concrete yard…lol

I have started teaching English to children and adults in China online for a company called First Future…I am just starting so, it is kind of crazy hours – it does however, give me time to work on my own companies…the students make it really fun and the pay is better than pizza delivery…yes, never a dull moment here…

So happy you had time to catch up and hang out...

Glad you had time to stop by…take care, construction is everywhere in my life…sit down, put your feet up and relax…lets chat… 

With so much expansion going on here at Dorraine Cooper-Rooney Limited…we took on a new office…got a great deal through Tom of Carports and More who sold me the shell of the building and had it delivered and set up…I got a great solar set up through Amazon so, the new office is off grid…hooking up was really easy and fun…I have been posting as we go…the steps are in and the next is insulation…so cool 

American Boudica Publishing has now opened a webstore…we were selling through other vendors but, could no longer abide by their practices…we are excited to be carrying such a quality product line and expanding…we have been able to get feedback from our customers and fab deals from vendors, I really feel blessed…love the mailman arriving with boxes of new product

 

Nature’s Power and Energy has begun grant paperwork on the HydroQueen to do more research and expand the parameters of the current patent…we have also chosen to put in for the grant on the small compartment fire system…working in a green environment is highly inspiring…our construction crew has been gaining practice by wiring and installing panels on the building…so groovy to be a part of it all…

I and 1 of my detailers got the privilege of working on a 68’ Camaro at Rooney Detail…inside and out, it took 2 days but, was so beautiful when we were done…a widow was getting ready to sell it, when she saw how nice it came out her mind changed…she gave it to her granddaughter

 

My doctoral journey is almost over…I am getting ready to implement my research…two more chapters and then my final defense…the 14 year journey is coming to an end…though this is a good change, it is still change and brings a little stressful – I think every graduation feels this way, your in school for so long, it is hard to know how to act when school is no longer there…

 

In a deal that I was able to work through some vendors, we are able to offer a T-shirt and artwork where 80% of the profit goes direct to the Sunshine Paddle…we are back in the water practicing now and will be looking for donations starting March first…April 20 will soon be here…my sting ray puncture is still not fully healed but, it is much better…it feels awesome to be back on the water…

The Circle of Boudica has been a growing space…a garden has been planted for Imbolc and gone through the first up-potting…flowers on the peppers and tomatoes are already forming…the potatoes, peas, beans and lettuce have all taken root and begun to sprout…this not only feeds us but, nurtures more positive energy…

Helmat has been staying with me for school…we have a high-level pre-k up the street and him staying here allows him to go for free…at Kids R Kids, he is allowed many learning opportunities…the music bus, tennis, ABC mouse and soccer – teachers talk to parents daily…it has been amazing to watch him…it feels wonderful to see him so happy…he is excited, when I move to the new office – he gets the old one and he has big plans for "His Room"…poor Walter now there is 2 of me…lol

Well, I am glad we had this time to catch up…come by again soon
