How glad I am to see you…please wade through all the packing supplies…so sorry to have not been around…it is crazy, we are down to 25 days and there is so much to be done…

I have spoken to all my patients and they are aware my massage office will be closed from May 10, 2012- Aug. 15, 2012…they know I will miss them, but they know this is something I must do and they stand behind me…I am blessed

American Boudica Publishing is under control of Chris Bilton until my return in August 15, 2012…you will soon be able to see his work at the Rotherham Art Festival

School is going well…Feng Shui has been quite interesting…Today is my final…then a whole week of spring break…my next class will be in Chinese Medicine while on the paddle…I am actually excited about this…a netbook was donated for me to use for my studies while on the road…we also got a printer donation…the school is aware I am on the paddle and is working with me…Blessings are abundant

The gardens will be somewhat overgrown this summer…dad will be here to care for them until my return…I have been trying to catch everything up before I leave, but alas there are only so many hours in a day…my plants are strong enough to make it until I get home…I will joyfully clean it up when I get home…

Tristan will be married tomorrow…I am sad not to be there, but she has promised to send pictures and video…young Matt will be a nice addition to the family…his actions and reactions have me happy with him…I feel she has chosen well:)

The Vagina Monologues went wonderfully…we had a packed house at the Zephyrhills Lyons Club…great fun and great message…if you get the chance I highly recommend it

The Sunshine Paddle is only 25 days away…my nerves are on high…trying to make sure we have everything…painted and lettered the truck…packing, unpacking and packing again…begging for donations…checking in with every state and rechecking with the coast guard…prepare for the worst/hope for the best…I took the Florida’s Boaters test and passed…so much to do and so many gizmos to learn…getting them all registered and all paperwork turned in...I am excited about the blessing of the horizon...I am happy Pastor Scott agreed to help…Debby will be here on May the 10^th…she too is making ready to get under way with me…

Life will be back to Normal in August…until then, feel loved…you can write the address on the site (they will know my mail stops on route) or call and leave messages for me on that phone as I will call home daily…

Girly Pirate in the House- Yule Tide Rollin

Here are your presents…it is just a few things I thought you would like…I know I have not decorated this Christmas- I am not Christian, nor was Jesus born in December but this holiday season has been called Christmas and should be left alone….politically correct is for stupid people who do not believe in tradition...

I thank you for asking about massage…the line of the body has me entranced and finding the plane of the muscle works the mind with the body…there has been so much chatter lately, that music has hardly been played…my clients have been doing well and it is great to see them enjoying so much motion...great energy

School has been hard work, but what a great class…Naturopathy is natural medicine…I want to be an ND…this is why I study so many hours…my grades have to be the best to get funding…I finished the class this week with an A…my next class starts Jan. 2

American Boudica has been quiet…the crone computer is at the doctor…I hope to see her at the start of February…Doctor Dave takes good care of her…Chris has been working with many different mediums- paint, digital, photo…really interesting things come from his mind…

The Circle has been a place of reflection and prayer this week…I wanted a quiet holiday so, I made sure all was wrapped up last week…I made sure in the Circle, parents have gifts to put under trees and food for the table…thank you for the donations…I will be having the holiday meal here…please call to let me know if you will attend (813)907-6279…I would love to hear your voice:)

The SunshinePaddle has been working me quite hard both mentally and physically…I went to Sarasota to pick up the Blue Horizon…strange how much I missed her…maybe like so many seamen before me, my boat has become a part of me… George at EconomyTackle is awesome…had her waiting at the beach for me…Lee and I rushed through the paperwork and he sent me to George at the beach…the Girly Pirate jumped in the Blue Horizon and off they went in the Gulf of Mexico…way too cool…just a happy Pirate…I must have been on Santa’s good list…I am excited to have so many people pitching in to help, it is a really positive charge…if you have equipment please call  (813)907-6279 or you can make a donation thru paypal

It has been unseasonably warm   this year…many blooms are still in production here…looking around there are bursts of color everywhere…I should be in pants by now, but I am still in shorts…hmmm…

I have something to work the mind- Who would you invite to dinner? Pick 3 people…alive or dead…if dinner was served and all you had to do is eat and converse, how would that conversation start?

Yule Tide Rolling

Hello my friend,

            Muddville has been a happening place this week…I am glad you made time to help me wrap these presents…thank you so much…here is a roll of paper, tape and I have a cutter gadget for you…life waters’ are in the fridge if you want one…it has been a busy week- positive, but difficult…let me fill you in

            Massage has been picking up…my snowbirds are flying in- this has been great because when they left I was fat and smoked, I love the looks I am getting:)…the bodywork has been flowing and so has conservation…my local patients are keeping scrapbooks of how things are going…we are all working toward better health…can any therapist ask for more?

            In school, Naturopathy is a very interesting subject…last week was my midterm and a paper…this is not a great deal of work, but on a packed week it seemed huge…lol…thankfully it is a subject I have passion for and that makes it much easier

            American Boudica is focused on The Sunshine Paddle at the moment…Chris has been working with his daughter in Painting…her name is Kay Bilton…keep an eye out, her work is fab and I am sure if she sticks with it she will be quite successful…she has an acute eye for movement and motion…I am also praying for a Yule miracle for the old computer, that we can at least salvage the information from her Motherboard

            The Circle has been a giving place this holiday…15 children of 4 different religions in 5 countries will have a holiday this year…I have a wonderful congregation and I am thankful for each member…it is a true feeling of being blessed to be a part of it…the best present I could get is to be surrounded by such wonderful people…

            The Sunshine Paddle has been a blessing this week…The 8^th Annual Peace Breakfast for The Sunrise Shelter at the Tampabay Golf and Country Club was very moving…I had to go to Sarasota to check on my boat…it was Walter and my 13^th Anniversary…I called Siesta Bike and Kayak Rental and Scotty had me call Siesta Key Bungalow…I explained to Gayle the pinch I was in and she offered to help me out…OMG…what a beautiful blessing…we got to paddle through the Neville Reserve at sunset…Walter is gaining confidence…we got back to see the last of the sunset in the Gulf of Mexico…Lance had recommended Captain Curt’s Crab  Bar…it was clean and had good food…the bungalowwas fit for a princess on a beach holiday…Gayle brought out the girlie pirate in me…lol…the next morning we caught sunrise at the public beach…I understand why it is voted the #1 beach…VERY Romantic…Walter gave me a paddle with blades that match the Blue Horizon and I got him a metal detector for when he has to wait on shore for me…the perfect practice/ anniversary weekend cap off was at the Orange Octopus…YUM

            I saw an article this week about how Florida was the most depressed state in the country…I do not agree with that statement…since the economy went belly up here first and unemployment is high…people are worn out, but are still quick with a joke and boisterous with laughter…we have a lot of fun and understand how to hunker down…our state has its very own Peyton Place- past and present, beautiful beaches that you do not have to be beautiful to walk and great food served by cooks before they become famous…I have been up and down the west coast and middle of the state for practice and found this to be true all over the state…I chose Florida many years ago…it is my home and I love it here…I guess they wrote the article with some facts they looked up and did not understand this state or her people

            We have color popping up all over the yard…while in Siesta Key, we saw a lot of color…I love the Palm Trees all decorated in holiday lights…I thought about getting some solar holiday lights for my cactus…maybe next year…we are trying to cut the electric bill to help save for the trip as donations have been slow;/

            A question was posed to me about the smell or lack thereof in my house since I have 4 dogs and a cat…I sweep 3-4 times a day…I mop once or twice a day…animals get bathed once a week…I have removed all carpet…they also get walked and brushed several times a day…it’s a lot of work…I would not trade them for the world;)

Herbal Healing Salve

1 cup herb infused oil (in this case lemon mint)

1 - 2 oz. Beeswax

2 Tablespoons Honey

10 capsules Vitamin E Oil

½ tsp. each tea tree and lavender essential oils

In a small pan, gently heat the herb infused oil, honey and beeswax until barely melted. Cut or poke the vitamin E capsules open, and squeeze the vitamin E oil into the beeswax/oil mixture. Remove from heat, and add the essential oils. Pour a tiny amount of the salve mixture onto waxed paper or into a container to cool. Test it for thickness - if you'd like it to be harder, add more beeswax. If you'd like it to have a thinner balm, add more oils.

When you're satisfied with the consistency, pour the balm into clean, sanitized jars and let cool. This all-purpose salve can be used for cuts, scrapes, splinters, diaper rash, burns, rashes, or for dry skin.

Silent All These Years

How are you today…I am well…it has been a beautiful fall…life is moving at a good pace and I with it…

Massage has started picking up…I love this time of year…being able to mix hot and cold therapies is fun…I have found 2 new crooner CDs…always a good thing…I found this young guy, Matt Dusk…good sound

School is going well…I am working VERY hard in this class, but it is so worth it…fabulous teacher…Ayurveda is complex and simple at the same time

American Boudica is currently happening, so we may write more of our story;)…Chris and I are currently looking for a converter or at least someone to show me how…the tech guys at adobe do not know there product well enough to answer advanced questions…it is my hope to get Book 3 out soon

In the Circle this week entered the 1 pound grandchild of a friend, we lost a loving mother in-law of a member…thank you all for the very loving energy you sent to both…I let a dozen roses go over the water as an offering…may you all feel blessed

The gardens are changing to their fall colors…it is quite lovely, this is the first year my cactus has bloomed …even the weeds seems to be flowering…it has now cooled down to the high 80s and the high 70s at night…the deep heavy soaking rains will help us through the long dry winter...

The animals seem to be full of themselves in this cool weather…Chole loves the water and enjoys splashing in the puddles…the rest of the crew hates the water…they go out only long enough to do their business and beeline for the door, kinda funny…the motor blew on the fish air pump, so we had to get a new one…the pond has been filled to the top with all the rain, funny the fish never try to swim out…they must be happy at home;)

The SunshinePaddle has left me feeling blessed…in a few days I will be paddling with some really awesome people and I feel very privileged…I have been working hard on this and to watch it all come together leaves me in awe often…Janice says we are doing the right thing and this is why we have been so blessed…

I read an article today that was very upsetting…the author tried to defend a wife beater…in the article she states the woman feared, as he continued to threaten to take her children and she killed one child, thought she had killed the second and was attempting to kill herself…this is where her found her, took a flashlight and beat her to death…STOP…the woman feared…was she a nut or did he beat her…why were the woman and children not removed to safety or the children not removed temporarily until she got help…this woman was having a problem…why did it get this far…people (especially her husband) today are afraid to stand up and do the right thing…I have no sympathy for him as he had options he did not take and a fear like the woman carried does not come from nowhere…I feel bad for the child who lived, she has lost both parents…for her I will pray…as for the author of such an ignorant piece of work, I will be thankful she has never been battered and will pray she never knows such fear or reality…I will also pray she writes on subjects she has a flare for…it really irks me when people who have no concept of what that life is try to understand it…I can never understand the need to belittle someone as to threaten the children in any way shape or form…if you know someone who has mentally stepped out and children are involved, pull up your big kid panties and help…do the right thing;)

First Press of the Flesh

I have been so busy…I am glad we have a minute to sit…would you like some pomegranate juice over ice?? Okay, I am ready, put your feet up and I will fill you in…

Massage has been awesome…clients have been helping me plot my trip and bringing in information…if you did not know I have the best clients in the whole world…the energy has been so great it over flows everywhere…my license renewal came in the mail…I feel bad that so very many could not afford to renew…I am thankful my parents believe in me that they would help me through this renewal process as the Dept of Health has made it so hard for Massage Therapists…did you know I have to take more continuing education than a nurse…kind of blows the mind when you think about it

School is going…I just keep reminding myself I will soon have a degree and I can get through this…it is not a hard subject, the teacher is…we will just say some teachers could teach you about dirt and have you excited to learn about it…while others make you want to smack someone with a wet noodle…anyone got a noodle?

American Boudica Publishing is still on hiatus at the moment…Chris has been MIA due to problems with his Virgin phone service…

In the Circle we had a waterside prayer session…it was beautiful and an attendance of 20 was the biggest we have seen in person…I feel a sense of community rather than government will get us back to work

The Sunshine Paddle has been a lot of work…my muscles are sore from working out…I have also been filling out a ton of sponsorship requests…I have also written letters to the Shark Lab, USF and the Audubon to see if they want any data collected while I am out there…I got to meet up with the Girl Scout Counsel of West Central Florida today at their HQ...it is a neat building…I will meet with Tami Longaberger next week;)

When I was MUCH younger, I was a brownie and then a girl scout. When my daughters were younger, no troops were really available to them (they were USN Sea Cadets out of Tampa). After meeting with 2 young women today, I feel the program has gone through a revamping so to speak…I was so VERY IMPRESSED…I know many of you have not enrolled your girls, as at one point the program seemed to be all about cookie sales…one young lady sat and explained what was available now to the young ladies of the area (camping, swimming, kayaking, etc…), it warmed my heart to see what the program has become...Juliette Gordon Low would be proud…I had no idea how much it had changed or that so much was available again…if you have a daughter, check out your area and get her enrolled (it is not the same as 4H and does not give the same lessons- it would be great if they could do both)…if you do not have a daughter, buy a box of cookies and kill 2 birds with one stone…a young woman raised with a good sense of self and self esteem is FAR less likely to get beat…the very sweet women left me feeling better about the future…it sounds like they will try to pull a kayak day off;)

The animals get a little upset with me doing so much research…Chole shredded a book I had gotten for my daughter…when Quintus is ready for me, he throws himself across my feet with a loud sigh…with so much rain, they have not been allowed out much… it has been fun to watch Chole play in the puddles when they do go out

With so much rain the flowers are giving great fall color and each bloom looks more spectacular than the last…mowing is back to every 3 days…our fig has set fruit…I had never seen a natural long stemmed rose until this year…blooming happy this year

Do you have an mp3 player you like, that is easy 2 use, with lots of storage??? My friend Tim is helping me find one I can take with me on the kayak…I do not want apple as they can be a pain in the posterior…also looking for a dependable tablet…please message me your thoughts

Well my child, I need to study...I have to take my midterm tomorrow...I also need to work on more logistics for the trip too...lol...channeling my inner Capt. Phil...sleep is for the dead;)

The Sunshine Paddle

I fear in my last blog I may have dropped a bomb and I see you are back to talk to me…so lets talk


The trip is going to take me from Bulow Creek State Park in Ormond Beach, FL on May 15, 2012 to Old Orchid Beach, Maine…it will take between 30 and 60 days, depending on weather, as it will be done by kayak on the coast and thru the intercoastal water ways also…We have named this trip The Sunshine Paddle

My first goal is to raise money for Sunrise of Pasco Abused Women’s Shelter…donations directly to Sunrise will give you a tax break (P.O. Box 928, Dade City, Florida 33526/ Contact- Trish)…the money to help these people is needed…so many cuts in the state and federal have been made…women and children in danger could be left there and end up really hurt or dead…I was lucky, when I needed people to help me get away from the abuse, I was blessed with the ability to get the help I needed…the trip is approx 1450 miles…if everyone who thinks I am crazy pledges a penny a mile…My charity should do well;)…It will bring safety to families in need…

The side effect is education…due to the fact our business men (politicians) think they went to teaching college, our children are suffering for it…though my children are grown, I feel very strongly about education…I will take video, pictures and post blogs…with GPS, my progress will be able to be tracked…Chris and I are setting up the website with GoDaddy.com…I will also work with teachers from around the world as I can, so that they can set up class projects…since this trip will happen between May and July…I will take e-mail from now until March 29, 2012 then again 2 weeks after my return…I will work with any research facilities or colleges that may need samples, pictures and or video… we will have current eastern seaboard cartography


I have talked to people the whole way up and somebody has kayaked each part overlapping another…so why, is it crazy that one person does it all…I am working in training and diet at the moment…I need to build endurance and lose weight…When this started I weighed approx 200lbs and before I start the trip I will be down to 140lbs...I am blessed with 2 personal trainers, a good doctor (Dr. Casanas) and wonderful education in nutrition...I am not taking pills or getting shots...I am eating lots of veggies, eggs, fish, chicken and fruit...yes, I still have red meat (it is just really limited;/)...Uncle Ben's brown rice, Barilla protein pasta and veggie pasta if I have a starch...OMG...this is not food...its what food eats;)...as for supplements, I am a 45 yr old woman and take daily...1cc of sub-lingual B complex...1cc sub-lingual D complex...Alpha Lipoic Acid 100mg...Acidophilus...COQ10 200mg...I also drink 8oz of fresh Pomegranate and Orange juice...this is a safe diet plan to lose weight...I am only allowed a light work out as I want to lose fat and not tone it...I will keep you posted...no I do not take a multi-V...with so many fruits and veggies it is not needed...I take fish oil 3 days a week...Vit. E only 1 day a week

This is also taking much planning, free hands are always welcome…we are currently looking for sponsors and are willing to accept gifts to help with the trip…I am willing to test products and write reviews for the company or the public...all hands on deck, please join the insanity

Hail and good day to you….glad to see you are feeling well…yes…as a matter of fact I am in a great mood…let me fill you in…

In the past few days I have had a few great clients…our conversations while I have been working on them have been very insightful and given me a great deal to ponder…very cool

Chris chastised me…much needed…about slacking off on my writing…he was right and it was the foot in the ass I needed to get me motivated…American Boudica will also start publishing a new author…Boudica Book 3- Other Peoples Karma, will soon be out…the children’s book will be out soon after

Week 3 of math…I am no longer losing my mind…I have accepted the fact I will not get an A and made peace with it…I am studying my heart out and hope to pull a B…I do love math and the teacher is great…

In the Circle, we are awaiting babies…moms are all as happy as possible and doing well…many of us have started seedlings getting ready for Ostara…I have to pick up pastel, bright candles…I am also planning the feast…

The same day the income tax came in the fridge and washer gave up the ghost…we were able to get reconditioned appliances…it took most of the return, but the house no longer shakes when the rinse cycle hits and the sound of a diesel is no longer in the kitchen when the fridge compressor motor kicked in…

We ordered a bee starter kit for dad for Christmas…it arrived yesterday…Walter built it this morning…Dad has been worried about the bees…I am psyched about this and dying to see what he will do with it…it looks cool

The puppies are like having babies in the house…they require quite a bit of attention…Cole has started training and doing well with it…I tried to work with Quintus…he did not take it well…Chewy has been a big help with herding them up…It takes 2 of us to let the heard loose in the yard…I am getting a lot of exercise



A friend sent me Jeopardy game for the Wii…I am excited to try it…I have also been sent the game of ‘Go’…although that I will have to study before I play…I am still looking for the Egyptian game ‘Senet’…

I have been cooking…pot roast, rolls, breakfast rolls, ham…it is a great way to relieve stress…although it does not make the waist any smaller…

I will be cleaning up the yard this week…green is sprouting every where…I will take pictures…my pool needs to be cleaned and made ready for summer…spring seems to be here early…I am ready for a hot summer…

Good Tired

It has been a hard week…glad you had time to chat me up…I have some ultra-chocolate supreme cake…want a piece…it is quite tasty and the best anti-depressant on the market…

Massage has been good…I love my clients and my job…Monday I worked with terminal patients…this is not easy…it is the best part of the job…for a few moments, you get to relieve pain and leave behind good/strong energy…I also work on the care giver as most of them usually get forgotten and need to recharge too…when getting my taxes ready for the accountant…I noted the amount I had done for free…these are just for those who could not afford…the grand total is 3 (average) a week x 52 weeks in a year @ about $30 per session = approx. $4700…double from last year…I have a policy…I will not let someone hurt over money…I have around 450 clients…when people had jobs they came to see me and had no problem paying me, Times were good…people do not have jobs/money right now, times are bad, I will not turn my back on them…they chose me as their healthcare provider…good times and bad we go through it together

In school I am in the last week of English Composition 2…it is a work HEAVY class…though I really feel like I have learned and accomplished a lot…Mr. Drinkall gave me much to ponder…the class was really interesting and my classmates made it fun…happy I took it on a bunch of levels

Chris has been of infinite help and patients this week…other than promotion of ‘Love is Like an Onion’ there has not been much accomplished at American Boudica…we did get the news that we have made it into the Ingram Catalog of Books for ‘Friends, Family and Funerals’ and ‘Love is Like an Onion’…I feel tickled that they thought that much of my writing…

Some days you the windshield…this week I was the bug…I woke to a blown heat pump…the stove caught fire…and the washer blew apart…I was ready to choke on life…the stove fairy waved his wand and sent me a new stove…the heat pump was fixable…thank god it was not that bad…I fixed the washer…to say the least I spent a few days on the angry little red planet…I am now back to planet earth…yes, I did spend time doing deep breathing and it does help…

In the Circle of Boudica this week….I have been exposed to many money issues this week on many different levels…I am 45 year old and barley make enough to survive…I know this is more than most so I give prayers of thanksgiving…when you have to sit and have conversations with people about money…it never goes well…one could in fact suffocate on the negative…or you can pick yourself up…do the best you can…be positive and keep trying…in my marriage, all of our money (what ever Walt and I make) belongs to the house…I keep I highlighted calendar of the bills and income hanging on the wall…we ride the waves together and hit the rocks together too…equal…a package deal…in other relationships that I have had in the past, it was not that way and usually caused the end of the relationship…another reminder…some words once spoken can not be taken back…this is a very important point to ponder

As many of you know, we have a new (and the last) addition to the family…His name is Chole Capone…he was born on 12/19/10…that makes dog #5…my limit…he is so sweet and Quintus loves him…did I mention, we have 2 baby sugar gliders…the cat keeps shaken his head at me…I have Chole in training so he is not allowed to visit yet…Quintus has been funny…very protective of Chole…the Chihuahua that needs to protect my Pit…to cute…Chewy Bitems is great with both pups…Draco and Shinara try to stay in the chairs out of reach…an hour in my house is better than any show on TV…I am blessed that they are all so sweet

Life is not all good all the time…when bad things happen…you can freak out…then do you deal with it or let it take you down…even if you deal with it, it may take you down anyway, but you did the best you could…and that does make a difference…you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try again…make a new plan…do not be ashamed to ask others for help…yes, you may have to listen to a war story or an ass chewing, but help whether it be wisdom or a favor…be honest and try not to be too dramatic-they have 1000 people with the same story…what you have may not be much, but always seems more when you share…nothing…not even this economy…will last forever…when something gets you upset…ask yourself honestly in 5 years will it mean anything…if the answer is NO…forget it…if the answer is YES…then take time to figure out how to approach it in the best form possible…it is quite rare that anger will get you any where…while money has been tight I sit home…as you know…we play a lot of cards…I refuse to pay $50 to go to the movies (ticket, popcorn, drink and candy) for 2 people…not when I can watch it at home for $15…many people are feeling bad because ‘I can’t afford it’ are hard words to say…here in Florida life is hard…it will not last forever…if we help each other…at least we have each other…which in my opinion beast the hell out of going it alone

Sinus Headache Pillows

Cut two pieces of material 10"x4" and sew together
Making a bag , leaving one end open stuff your bag with the ingredients given after mixing well in a bowl

1/2 of flax seeds

1 part crushed spearmint leaf

1 part crushed peppermint leaf

I have been asked about answers surrounding our government…I have several…I would rewrite the healthcare bill to benefit the patient instead of the insurance companies, pharmaceutical companies and the AMA…I would tell everyone who is on unemployment over 60 days they have to volunteer 10 hours a week if they want that check…people will invent new companies to get back to work or the community gets work done to fill in for the many who had to be laid of…win/win for everyone…all welfare recipients should have to pee in a cup…I do not mind feeding a family in need, but I do have a problem buying food for someone to get drugs…this country is great and everything we need to make it better is right here…I wish our leaders would open their eyes to that fact

I am breaking into the New Year and thought I would be by to see how you are doing…it has been a wonderful holiday...the fireworks were amazing…so man friends and family…alas it is time to go back to work and I wanted a chance to chat with you before the tornado hits…

Massage, just for the health of it…they seem like such simple words…in the last year as a business owner (7 yrs) with healing hands, I have learned a lot…in this bad economy, people still need help…it is important to do what you can, when you can, but never to the point it puts you or your business in danger…knowledge is important…in medicine, things change everyday… just as important to learn is to share what you have learned…I am blessed with wonderful clients and take pride in each and every one…I will continue to respect their being and work with them to keep and maintain good health…I will also be there to help them through the bad…this will be a great New Year…on Friday 1/21/11, I will be doing Paraffin Massage…book soon as these appointments go quick for this…during my vacation I have been taking a class in wood therapy and will soon be offering it…this is great not only for weight loss, but also for muscle toning and strengthening…I have had it done by therapist Raquel Bray and she was my inspiration…I loved it and could really notice a difference…It is done in a lot of high end spas in South America…I will keep you posted about availability…

Education is important…I am still in school and working hard on my degree…I feel very thankful for such an awesome school (Everglades Univ.) and teachers…the students I attend with are wonderful…being so blessed really enhances the learning experience…I really feel I am getting more than just the education I am paying for…

American Boudica Publishing has now been up and running for 3 years…we have 2 books on the market and have released 2 power points…it has not been easy, but again I am blessed…our creative partnership is a truly beautiful thing…in this we hit the ground running as neither of us had been an author to start with…this to has required continual education…I was ever so excited to see the second book on the market…the feeling is almost as spiritual as giving birth…our spouses have been very supportive and it was not always a walk in the park for them, but their constant love got us to where we are…

In the garden over the last year, we have seen many changes…the cold snaps that are unusual for our area created some beautiful colors and caused a lot of dead loss…composting (even in winter) has been totally worth the time and effort…trimming in spring rather than fall seems to work better for the plants, but look worse for the yard…it also creates rich compost for the last week of summer…

The animals have had a good year…the arrival of the puppy was an unexpected blessing…the sad part was loosing a glider had me very upset…let me remind you all…animals take a lot of time and energy…if you do not have it…DO NOT GET ONE…they should have a home forever…not just for while it is convenient…pets are great…they give love…they also have a lot to teach us about life…

My family has had a good year…we are all still above ground and moving around…many have been the ups and downs and we have made it through it all…many of my children have returned to me…it is here where I have been really blessed…I am happy to be a grandma…I am so proud of how hard all my children are working…life is quite cool…

The Circle of Boudica has had a good starting year…it was a bit of a surprise and a big responsibility, but one I am glad I took on…it has been a long, hard year and many have needed our help…we have a congregation of 48 people in 8 countries…Chris has been a great Bard…it has warmed my heart to see how helpful they are for each other…my spirit has soared…

I am glad to hear you are ready for a great New Year…I wish for you to feel as blessed as I do…I promise to add more herbal remedies to the next blog for you;)

DUDE…Can you feel it?

DUDE…can you feel it…it is the release of the second book- worldwide!!!!!


How do I explain how much work goes into one book…I am blown away…being both publisher and author is not easy…I am so happy…Chris and I were doing the happy dance over the phone…if you do not want to order it online, you can go to Barnes and Nobel or Boarders with the ISBN #978-1607439516…if you are not in the USA you can go to your nearest large book retailer and should be able to order it using the same number…I never thought I would be an author and now I have 2 books in print…I am so amazed…I could not have done it without Chris, Walt, Rose and Dale…

I have been asked a few questions about American Boudica…I will try to answer

What is Boudica?

Boudica is a woman in Britain who fought against the Romans for freedom. I have fought most all my life for those who do not have…a freedom fighter of sorts…and I was American…as Chris and I played with the idea of a book, the name seemed to find itself.

What is the book about?

Love is like an Onion in the next adventure in the Boudica series. I find it a fantasy with something to be gleaned from every chapter, but I wrote it…I am slightly bias about it. In this book we travel the world…we spent hours on research to keep as many details as correct as possible…it was a lot of fun and I feel that reflects in the writing

What prompted you to write your books?

With all I had been through in my life, I had many stories to share…I met a wonderful writing partner on MySpace…we had spoke for several months before we found our direction…once we got into a working rhythm the books flowed…my husband and his wife have been very supportive in every way…the books flowed as a product of the amazing energy

How long does it take to produce a book?

The first took about a year and a half …this book has taken us 2 ½ years…the first book went quite smooth…due to upheaval in the current economy, we have hit roadblocks at every juncture (i.e. the cover took 3 months to get straight with the printer)…I often tell people the closer you get to the completion the more it is like being pregnant…it could be anytime now, all the way up until you see it on Amazon…it is like them laying the baby on your chest for the first time and then you can breathe…it then becomes a labor of love

What do you want people to take with them from the book?

Along with fact is fantasy and vice versa…much of American Boudica is taken from real life situations with fantasy woven in to protect either myself or others…the heroine is over 40 and has been through much…there are many lessons to be found among the pages, but I feel what she represents is the love of family and friends…also loyalty and honesty seem to run deep with her…personally, I hope it opens people’s minds and makes them think

I love our printer…they have been great…when my computer crashed and I lost everything…they helped Chris and I get everything together…I am really blessed and hope people like it…I will have some copies here for sale…I can hardly wait to get the first one in my hand…by the end of next week you will be able to search inside the book…it will also be out on e-book and kindle at that time…OMG…this is so cool

Many people have asked how I can stay positive in the current situation our country is in…it is not easy…I try to focus on what is positive in my life and work in that area…what I mean is, if massage is slow many people would bitch…for me it is time to write or study…I hear stories from people everyday about how bad things are…I try to focus them into a positive way of looking at things…laugh out loud once a day for no reason…it really does help…I was born in Massachusetts and I am made of some pretty strong stuff…9/11, nor a bad president will hold me back…as my mother would say…’The government is burping while the economy is farting’…the only way I can see out of it is for people to work…no one is going to hand you a job…what can you think of or do different that might make you some money or create jobs…being a Transplanted Floridian, I can tell you nothing good happens fast…we understand the words ‘hunker down’…many are worried because the holiday will soon be here…please remember, it is not what is under the tree, but the love that surrounds it…hugs are the best presents…take care of the children and try to make a decent meal…fill the home with love and laughter…this is what it is all really about;)

How have you been….come in, sit down, relax…it has been a long week and I am quite tired…it has been chilly (about 65-70f this week)…I guess winter is setting in…I turned the heat on last for the first time this year lastnight…I see you came in all bundled up

Well, massage is always a good place to start (or at least my favorite)…I had to put the warmer on the table today…the clients said it felt 'toasty'…keeping in touch with your clients is important, but doing so without being a pain in the ass is an art…I will be doing a paraffin massage special the 12-20th of Dec…one hour for $30…this is one of my favorite things to do and every client who has had this massage calls it Shangri-la…for more info give me a call (813)907-6279 and I will be happy to fill you in and book your appointment

School is going well…English Composition is a pain in the ass…I can see Ms. Kiernan, my high school English teacher, looking down from heaven laughing at me…I am working hard and know it will make me a better writer

Speaking of writing…I have had book 2 at the printers for almost 2 months and am waiting for it to finish processing…we had to resubmit another cover (#3)…I have been checking Amazon everyday to see if the book has posted yet…the waiting is worse than being pregnant…In the next 90 days, Chris and I will produce 2 e-books…One will be a children’s book…this will be something parents can print out, kids can color and both can use to make a craft project…the other is a book on herbal remedies…I will keep you posted…if you are wanting one of the power points e-mail Chris or Myself , put powerpoint in the subject line and we will get one right out to you...  

The Circle of Boudica has had great energy…I am getting ready for Yule…a young lady from Ireland that we helped out during Thanksgiving Skyped me…she had walked 2 miles to use a friends computer…she sang holiday carols to me…it was so beautiful…such a wonderful present…this year is very hard…many are going without…anyone who has new or gently used toys or clothes, I have a number of children who will need Santa this year…any help is always appreciated…please contact me

Walter and I just celebrated our 12 year anniversary…for my present, he put a membrane on the roof…it is awesome…it was quite funny too though…my dad told him not to take his shirt off while he was up there…he did not listen and got burnt to a crisp

I attended a Heartlink Networking meeting with mom this week…this is a women in business networking group…although none of us had the same service or products…it was great to share information and meet new people…I usually hate those type of things as people are usually so phony…this was NOT like that at all…the women were down to earth with great ideas…when we left I felt recharged

The animals have been frisky in the cold weather…Quintus is almost 6 weeks old and is fairly housebroke…though being woke at 4 am to take him out really bites…it sure beats stepping in puppy poop…Chewy is very jealous of the puppy, but at the same time mothers him…the gliders are well…I think the cold weather slows them down…the fish have gone to the bottom of the pond…they stay there until its above 70f

A young man came and asked dad if he had some small jobs that needed done…I put him to work by the front gate cleaning up all the dead weeds…I was impressed with the job the young man did…the drive is all clear now…the roses around the yard are in full bloom…the word lovely doesn’t seem to do them justice…dad’s fence flowers have been in bloom for the last few weeks…the big purple/blue flowers remind me of a big quilt

At the end of the day…I feel lucky and blessed…my family is doing good…I have fabulous friends… great co-workers…amazing animals…this is not to say I don’t have my moments, but even those do not seem to come that often anymore...my little world is a cool place to be

I am troubled about the question that looms over Florida’s head about offshore drilling…I think honestly it should be stopped at all costs…it has been proven there is not much oil there and if a rig let go here in Florida, the damage could be done to the gulf stream…after all the studies I have seen over this last oil spill, I will not eat fish from the gulf for several years…BP will NEVER pay or be made to pay for all the damage they have done


Cinnamon Herbal Tea

9 Cinnamon sticks

3C water

Simmer Cinnamon sticks in water for 20 minutes

Strain (you can add milk and honey or 1 shot of buttered rum)

Drink hot

Cinnamon is known to improve circulation, ease cold symptoms, relieve stomach upsets, reduce menstrual cramps and regulate blood sugar and insulin

Warnings -

• Do not take more than one cup of cinnamon tea if you are pregnant

• Avoid cinnamon if you suffer from a high fever or have an irritable bowel syndrome

Thanksgiving 2010

Merry Meet,


I am happy you made time to get by…it has been a long week…how did your turkey come out…I feel like the blueberry girl from Willie Wonka…your looking a little plump too...

Massage was enjoyable this week…a lot of last minute clients and some just showed up to see if I could fit them in…you know me, the more the merrier...great to see my snowbirds flying back;)

At last…we have gone into print on book 2…as soon as I see it posted I will let you know…Chris and I took a slow week due to the hard week getting the cover done…he has started a new ‘Photo of the Day’ group in facebook…

School is going well…I am currently in an English Composition class…many papers and a lot of reading…though I find I am homing my skills…Chris and I are going to punch up book 3 before it goes to the printer

In The Circle of Boudica it has been a wonderful holiday…we were able to help 10 families have a good Thanksgiving….candles burned brightly…brown in thanks for all that I have…white in hope for the future…orange for abundance through the winter…a time to give up your pride and think of others

For Thanksgiving we went to the Golden Coral…OMG…did I eat….mom and dad seemed to enjoy themselves…Walter just kept the food on his plate piled…on Friday morning Tristan came home for a quick visit…Walter and mom spent all day cooking a huge turkey and all the trimmings...you should see the desert table…Dale came by to eat with us and took a plate home to his mom…Erin, Nathan, Nate, Debbie and many others called to wish us well for the holiday…Alex and his girlfriend stopped by to see Tris…she and I got to play on the Wii…she kicked my ass, but we had fun…she had to leave this morning…I always get sad when she goes…Dansir spent Thanksgiving in New Hampshire with her boyfriend’s parents…

Okay…I feel I have to say something…when money is so tight why are government officials using it like it grows on trees…Willie Nelson got busted for weed…DUH…Tommy Chong got busted for his picture being on a bong…DUH…How can ANY cop or government official be proud of that bust…do you know how much money was wasted on this, I could put kids through school on what was spent….do not waste my time or money on such bullshit…murderers are being let out of jail because we need to bust Snoop Dog with a joint…we do not have room in our jail for rapist or child molesters because average Joe got caught with a joint…am I the only one who sees something wrong with this picture…if you question how stupid this is…look at Portugal and Amsterdam…since they have changed their laws, crime has DROPPED…I also urge you to watch a movie called ‘The Union’…it is available at Netflix and can be streamed

Quintus is growing everyday…he is still all teeth…since he is too small to jump yet, the rest of the animals find the nearest available perch when he enters the room...he loves dad…the gliders keep trying to take my hair when I stand near the cage to build their winter nest…the fish have been tranquil this week…I think they feel winter setting in

The garden is putting on its cold face…we have beautiful flowers blooming…I will be going out shortly to prune and put it to compost…the pool is closed…Walter is up on the roof getting ready to start the process of membraining the roof…Alex and Jazen are supposed to help him…I am so sure they will do a great job


Mint Tea

Boil 3 Cups of boiling water

Steep in 15-20 Leaves (15 fresh or 20 dried) for 10-15 minutes

Serve warm or over ice

This is great for digestive issues, sore throat and aids with skin issues too.
