Pulling Up the Big Girly Pirate Panties

Merry Meet,

            I am kinda trippin at the moment…my stress level is hitting overload…I thought this would be a quiet summer…had plans to relax and catch up on some loose ends- so freaking much for that idea…it is not any one thing or person, more like a string of events…let me fill you in on the happening:

            American Boudica is needing a promotions specialist…we are coming out with the 4^th in the Boudica series…Chris and I have been working hard…none of this is done for free…I have 3 writers who want to publish with us and I have not had 5 minutes to get with them…again more money…

            In school residency is coming up…the hotel is paid already, but the other money for my airfare went MIA…when I called to request it from the bursar, I was told the whole of the disbursement was missing- oh and BTW I was supposed to be making monthly payments and I was over $100 behind + late fees…WTF…that would mean I could be kicked out of school, I kept my cool as sometimes paperwork gets messed up…after 3 days on the phone, we figure out my finance officer is no longer an employee and she never sent me notice about the fees or put through correct paperwork to the main office…it is all straightened out now…school is very important to me…I guess because I am so close to something I never thought I would get to be…this does not mention the amount of papers needed for the current class…I have a 30 pager due next Friday…

            In NPE, even though the first test is done there is still much work to be done…I have been interviewing fabricators – metal, acrylic and fiberglass…I know what I want and yes, I am aware of how much it will cost…I have started working with a professional grant writer…also putting together my solar thing…where did I put the sorcerer’s stone, I need to manufacturer time…

            Litha is almost upon us and the Circle of Boudica is a buzz with activity…we got the pool up and the tent in place…Walter will be at work, but I got glow sticks for the pool and fireworks for fun…we dragged the grill up…can you tell I am so excited…it is time to celebrate and enjoy summer…It is with my whole heart that I wish for you the blessing of the season and pray for the bounty to unfold before you:)

            Girly Pirate is the new business…talk about a money and time drain…I am aware that it will pay off in the end, but damb…I have been meeting with a mentor from Score…a really great guy with good advice…lenders are being jerks as I have student debt…how do they think I can pay this off with no job…this does not mention that I come up with ideas that others are not doing so permitting is an awesome thing…

            I have been up for a few regular paycheck jobs…it has been disheartening to be turned down…I have a great work history…an awesome education…when I go to see who got the job, it is usually ten years younger with far less education…as much as it hurts, I put my back into my own businesses…something will break and I will be dammed if it is me

            At the paddle we have been out and about…I got to spend time in Sarasota, Siesta Key and up to Crystal River…we have also been part of several beach cleanups…remember we only get one planet, it is up to each of us to take care of it

            One could feel like kicking in the walls…I chose to focus my attention on a car that I may be able to win…Taylor was nice enough to come by and do the video…I mucked it up the first time and he was nice enough to come back and help me fix it…The yard is in full bloom, but camera is working when it wants…the dogs have been encouragable and making me a little crazy…Dad’s hawk has been tearing up his back porch, it is my feeling she is missing him…So if it seems I am a million miles away, it is because I am…my head is just swimming and it will not be long before it gets close to sane again…

Feeling A Bit Ornery

How are you? I know I promised to slow down in May- I just have goals I need to reach and it will have me working crazy for a while…it means a lot to me that you understand

AmericanBoudica Publishing is about to grow…our fourth book in the Boudica Series will be out in about 2 weeks on kindle…we are also getting ready to come out with another children’s book…Chris and I have both enjoyed summer as time to share our talents with a few friends…it has been inspiring to see all the work being done

Nature’s Power and Energy has been hugely busy…we have wrapped up phase one of testing (this had me kind of sad) and phase two will start sometime in August (this has me really excited)…we are getting new equipment- it is coming from all over and is due in from now until the start of August…YEA…the hard part has been to find someone to build exactly what we need…this takes time…I feel like the horse kicking at the stall walls…innovation or being an innovator is a bitch…lol

I know you think I have lost it, but I am opening another company…Girly Pirate snack vehicles will soon be operational around Pasco County…I am running through permitting and licensing now…I feel this will be a good add to my marketing mix…I promise to explain more soon….let me get more of it put together and I swear to fill you in...lol

Keiser Graduate School is challenging  and really put one’s brain in a blender…lol…currently the class is Marketing Management...the group I am in with are really deep thinkers, I feel privileged to be learning with them…I spoke to my counselor from Student Services at Everglades who suggested I put together a site to showcase my talents- Girlypirate.com is what I put together…what do you think???? It took me a few weeks to put together...

 

In the Circle we are ready to welcome Litha on the 21^st…yellow, green and blue candles will be lit around the pool…it is a time to be thankful and relax…I will be having a potluck pool party...please let me know if you wish to attend…I am planning for fun

The Sunshine Paddle has begun updating the website…we are getting ready for next year’s run on the coast of Pasco County Florida…we are putting together framework for the 2015 on the Coast of Pasco and 2016 run on the east coast of the United States…it is a hive of activity…though I have been to Hudson twice to practice, my camera has been not working and I need to get a new one or find someone to fix this one…

Mom is letting me use her Galaxy Tablet so when I serve residency I will have a way to stay in touch…the Pasco Economic Development Center, SCORE and Small Business Development Center have set me up with a mentor and grant writer…hit the ground running- more like mock 2 with my hair on fire…I am putting in for grants and funding- for more than one country

My brother will soon have back surgery and Dad is up helping him…the yard has been my job this summer…it does not look like when he does it, but mostly it has survived…yes, I am aware it is need of weeding…I just do not have 5 extra minutes and am doing what I can…Walter likes his new job…mom has been quilting and watching ‘Ellen’…at times she really cracks me up

As we watch the breakdown of the family unit- we are watching society crumble…how can one stop it…the answer is simple…the family unit can be fixed…stop worrying about gay or straight…with the number of orphans- we are looking for good couples and or good people…a parental unit is two people…spanking s child is NOT beating- it is discipline…rules and teaching basic ethics starts at home…children are children, parents make the money thereby make the rules and need to keep children in line- unless that child is getting HURT my advice is to stay out of it and let parents be parents…people used to tell me I was strict when I raised my children...ALL 32 children alive have been to college and live on their own…though we have been through hell and back- I love all of my kids and have helped when asked, have to admit that does not happen often…those that have children ,have been good with them…awesome kids are more than a blessing, they are hard work…they use their brain before weapons…if you work with children, please focus on those you are charged with and not your phone or tablet…it is what you get paid to do…most of the recent gunman were young- ‘he felt he was neglected by so and so’ is what the news says…so is your problem really the gun or the kid who felt so alone, he needed to pick it up…just saying

How be things with you? We are almost to Beltane and I am exhausted…it has come to my attention that it has been quite difficult to reach me…let me catch you up on all the happenings…

AmericanBoudica has been so busy…I have been asked about a listing of the books- it is provided at the bottom of the blog…making appearances after the last release has been a joy…Chris and I have chosen to start with our fourth book in the Boudica series in May…Keith has been patiently waiting for me to wrap this up so we can work on his book and game…sounds like my summer will be hopping:)

I have an MBA from Everglades University…WOO HOO…I worked so hard…my friend Lawanda was able to go with me…we had an awesome time…I may have made her slightly crazy with the filet o fish jingle- I do not even like the sandwich, but the commercial was so funny…the hotel had great service…the Mayor of Boca spoke…really cool service…my Keiser University instructor was great…considering 2 weeks after graduation was The Sunshine Paddle…it was not easy, but I did get all my work in…though management is a dry subject, the instructor kept it interesting…

Life in the green technology business is not easy…NPE is still in testing…innovation seems to be all about hurry up and wait…I am not really good at waiting, but at times you have no choice…I have set up power point presentations every so often so I can measure progress…For a while I have been taking all of our cardboard to a recycling bin-the money made by that bin goes to a children's group...your trash can help others…I have had to fix several little details on our full patent, so when all of that was complete they notified me that we are being put through testing at the patent office at the moment...obtaining the provisional was kind of exciting, but the full patent is really an amazing feeling

In the Circle of Boudica we are almost ready for Beltane…I will be having a fire here at the house this year…it will be my first time to relax in the last 3 months…it will be a good time for Caipirinhas- I have picked up cachaca…so psyked...I am in process of making fire spinners:)

We just completed the Sunshine Paddle for 2014…what a month…first we made an appearance at Gumbo Limbo…I was sad to learn that USA has now become number 7 in the world for finning- so horrid…I also learned with very little effort we could help the turtles and the animals of the Everglades…Next I made an appearance at the Dolphin Research Center…I was VERY impressed on many levels here…then came the end of the month…the woman who was to paddle with me bailed at the last minute…I went anyway…the trip was amazing…I raised around $150 for the shelter and $150 for the food bank…Applebees donated gift certificates…an anonymous donor gave an expensive piece of baby equipment still in the box for the shelter- How cool is that???

Walking around the yard with the dogs has been really cool…flowers seem to pop from every corner…the first walk of the morning smells like the yard is covered in perfume…the buds have had deep colors…Dad is being picky about how much he cleans out from under the plants…

 

As Captain Phil once said ‘sleep is for the dead’…lol…it is my hope to see you at the Beltane fire…if not swing in soon…maybe if you have time we can go to the beach…

When exactly do I get to sleep again?

What up?

How have you been…I have been swamped…doing taxes this year was not what I was used to…a corporation, sole proprietor, charity and personal taxes along with life made February pass by fast…

American Boudica Publishing was excited to come out with the third book in the American BoudicaSeries on kindle…it will soon be out in print…how cool is it to have 4 books on the market…it was so much fun to write…Chris often found himself getting lost in the story…he often compared Draco to Chewy Bitems:)

School is an amazing thing at the moment…my Masters graduation at Everglades University has shaped up and I will be in Boca April 4^th and 5^th…I am VERY happy in this area of my life…Keiser is quite worth the money for my PhD…the class is of a professional level and the teacher is very attentive…one could not ask for more

At NPE we have been hella busy…the taxes are done…YEA…the rebuilt tank is working great…we have started testing and adjusting…it is about the neatest thing to be working on this project…I have found where we lacked on our first grant proposal and now know what I must do to adjust it

In the Circle we see Ostra fast approaching…pink and green candles…we celebrated the birth of a new little one…they are so sweet when they are new to the world…

The Sunshine Paddle has a busy upcoming month…5^th of April we will be at Gumbo Limbo and the 6th at the Dolphin Research Center…a rigorous month of training and then on the 20^th we will Launch from Hudson Beach, paddle 25 miles and land at Anclote…we are getting people to sign pledge forms per mile paddled..

The spring rains have started…Dad cuts me a path to walk the dogs…we have been having beautiful flowers…I am soon to be a grandma again from my son…Mom and the ladies have been making quilts for the disabled vets and the homeless shelter…Walter has been going crazy looking for work…

After thinking about it all…I am so looking forward to May…things will slow down and I will be able to breathe…lol…do you think it will happen then…book 4 and Keith’s manuscript working in the background…YEA, I hear ya

I am well…how are you…it is good to see you…sorry I have been so busy…Walter got laid off from Pepsi…I have been helping him look for work…he seems so sad, he worked for them over 7 years…

I am getting ready to battle with Taxes again…closing my massage business will make the final battle interesting…I have a stationary table for sale and hot stones too

American Boudica Publishing has been exciting this year…we are now on Kindle…our children’s poetry book is ONLY on Kindle…Chris did some amazing pictures- this way parents or grandparents can print it out and let the children color it in to have as a keep sake…our third book in the Boudica series ‘American Boudica: Legend of the Girly Pirate’, will in the next 2 weeks be on the market…we are so ready to do the happy dance:)

Keiser is proving to be a challenge…this is a good thing…I am in a research writing class and the professor is quit thought provoking…Really glad I have Dr. Drake

In Natures Power and Energy we have been so busy…the minutes for 2013 have been distributed…the website has been updated…we are working with the freshly rebuilt tank…the taxes are almost complete…the minutes and state paperwork are almost ready for submission…after the last meeting at EPNG, I have renewed faith in applying for a new grants…we have also made contact with the National Science Foundation…this job is quite groovy

The Circle has nothing to do with money so, no need to file anything…just a firm need to share love and understanding…Merry Imbolc my friend

The Sunshine Paddle has filed tax postcard, updated the website and posted minutes…this does not mention training…sorry about pictures, my current camera is worn and not working well…I will do my best to secure some for you though as I know it is the only way I can bring you with me…at time I feel like Jim from Mutual of Omaha…lol

The very extreme weather has made the yard look a little strange…some things are blooming that normally don’t bloom till summer…I can’t complain though, it makes walking the dogs interesting...Cooper has been enjoying having so much going on in the garden…one does tend to love this time of year in Florida, we get to see our friends from up north…really kind of neat

As you can see this is a time of high productivity…please do not feel ignored…my own family rarely gets to see me…I will catch up with you soon, I promise…until then remember you are loved…

So Groovy New Year

We stand here on the precipice of a New Year…

One should look at the year in review there is much to see…we said good-bye to the massage business…it was hard, but needed to be done…we have cultivated Nature’s Power and Energy and applied for full utility patent of the HydroQueen…and our publishing company continues to grow as our third book is about to be released and by taking on a new author…it has been an amazing year in business…

On a personal level, it has also remained busy…medical issues have plagued me…being grandma is cool…it was nice to Paddle Pasco and to walk for my graduation of my Bachelors Degree in April…The Circle of Boudica has been a place of wonderful healing energy…to lose my beloved Draco Blue had me quite sad…the end of the year being the last class of my Masters Degree…I got accepted to the doctoral program

To look ahead…Nature’s Power and Energy should continue to grow…in February we have a professional Sales team that will tackle the HydroQueen…This is neat as we will be ready to move to our next project…In January American Boudica Publish will be adding Legend of The Girly Pirate to the saga…we will also be releasing on kindle…business looks highly promising for the new year

In the more personal light…I will paddle the 25 mile coast of Pasco on a per mile paddled basis in April…Also in April, I will be in Boca Raton for my Masters Degree Graduation…YEA…I hope to visit Gumbo Limbo and the Dolphin Research Center as so many have requested it…In July, I will be residing on campus at Keiser University for 4 days in Ft. Lauderdale…I am sure I can find some cool surf clothes while I am there…

This is just the tip of the iceberg…my hopes and dreams are infront of me…with the love and support of family and friends, I have come far…on raw nerve, hardened resolve I will continue to push forward…I am blessed and thankful

Peace of Mind

 

Merry Meet,

            As we enter the Yule season, I feel so grateful and blessed so much has happened over the last year…I would like to talk about this…so much going on at present- my mouth needs to run about this…my dreams for the next year, I feel the need to share this with you too…get you a full glass and you might could want to grab you a Whoopi pie…

            My health has been scary this year…a heart event and a heart attack due to damage on the brain stem from being battered…this makes me angry…at myself for allowing it to happen to me…at my attacker (who never did a day in jail) for not being harmed when I am still paying for his bad temper…my doctors have been great…it is just not easy…one procedure had needles in my head…it has had me off water for about 3 months-every time they release me, they find something new and I get put on hold again…I have learned patients and I am strong so, it is my thought this will pass soon…

            The end of my medical massage business…I was blessed with many wonderful clients…a bad economy and horrid legislation ruined what was a decent business…a healthcare provider should not have to fight politics to survive and not be charged for representation they is not being supplied in an ethical manner…Thankful am I to Massage…it was a trade and I am freakin great at it…never doubt the power of trade school…Sanford Brown is awesome…it was here I learned to want more…it was my launch pad

            Everglades University…I have obtained my Bachelors and about to finish my Master’s Degree…OMG…I never thought this could happen for me…this school has been worth every moment…The classes are very focused and current…the faculty overall has been so great…the other students were creative and really made me think giving each class something extra…I will soon be enrolled in Keiser University for my doctorate while I am still used to studying…

            American BoudicaPublishing has had a rough year…British communication issues have caused Legend of the Girly Pirate to run behind…Keith has been waiting patiently…we hoped to have released the Delmar Chronicles but, have run into a few snags, this should be fixed soon…timing is everything…I expect to go to publication with Boudica in the next 2 weeks…we should release the game in January…I will keep you posted on the Delmar Series…really grateful that such talented people are working with me…

            Nature’s Power andEnergy has been a challenge…we are building the test facility…this sounds way easier than what it actually is…it will not be long before the tests are happening…it is my last step for full patent…so many are counting on this for many different reasons…I feel the weight of a thousand elephants on my shoulders…not to worry, I got this…working hard and feeling productive…I am thankful for this:)

            The Sunshine Paddle has had issues due to my health…shhh…I’ve been sneaking out to practice…a nice woman allows me to use a lake on her property and yes, there be gators…they mostly ignore me…I am still maintaining the menu and it is not easy during the holiday season…I have also been to a pool safety session- practice can save your life…I need to be ready for April

            The Circle of Boudica is a blessed congregation made of many faiths and it was a gift bestowed upon me…the love around the world shared has been amazing…last week, I turned over $200 in unwrapped toys to the Angels…I do not have much, but many have less…kindness is not just a word it is an action…have you showed someone you care today?

            Along with Thanksgiving, Walter and I celebrated 15 years…many ask how we do it…love, respect and honesty- even when you don’t want to…we still focus on keeping the other one happy…it also helps we like each other’s companionship

            I am planning my meal for Dec 21 at 7pm…let me know if you will be attending…it is my hope to have a bonfire barring any rain that day…I am asking everyone to bring a plate…pot luck is an awesome way to try different foods…may you be blessed and joyous this year- not in money, but with family and friends…I am humbled at the amount of love that has been shared with me…

Life Flies When You Are Having Fun

How are you…it has been a while since we have had a chance to chat…I have finally been released by all doctors back to the water…we are not sure that all is healed, but the episodes have decreased…also my blood hears the siren’s song the salt from the water sings…I wish you would come with me…

I passed my “New Venture Creation” Class with an A…this was an interesting class with a very knowledged professor…really glad I took it…I also got an A in my “Leadership Skills” Class…this teacher was an ASS…here I learned how to conduct myself properly under bad circumstances and how not to treat people…we can learn lessons from every teacher- even those who SUCK

American Boudica is such a wonderful place to work…Chris and I are back to weekly Skype sessions and though Book 3 is not out yet- it will not be long and I am very proud of it…Keith and Chris have been prepping the Delmar Chronicles for release…Keith and I have also been weekly on Skype developing a new word game…the old fashioned kind that brings the family to the table…we hope to have all 3 out by the start of Dec…

Nature’sPower and Energy has me doing the happy dance…we have been working so hard…our website is up and running…most of the parts for the HydroQueen are now in…it was hell finding someone to build the paddles…thankfully ‘Global Foam’ from Dayton, Ohio took up the challenge…it was Missouri Wind and Solar who stepped up to the pump to make special PMA units for this application…we were able to find and source all goods for the build as follows: 75% in Florida, 100% in USA…the build has begun…there is so much to do…since we have all the parts there it is just a matter of putting it all together- sounds far easier than it is…really is quite amazing to be part of something so cool…the HydroQueen will dance on water and create electricity…a friend called and has found an industrial use for her too as a way to reduce fluid preservatives in large fluid situations (i.e. water tanks, vats, etc) all while making electricity…

In April of 2014, I will paddle the coast of Pasco- The Sun Ray Paddle…it is a 15 Mile Paddle and I will be taking pledges per mile…1/2 the proceeds will go to Sunrise of Pasco battered shelter and the other half will go to Helping Hands Food Pantry…The next Sunshine Paddle will happen April of 2015…the plans have started and we are very excited…a big thank you to all of my sponsors for staying with me- I am blessed:)

Samhain is so close…in the Circle of Boudica we pause to reflect on our time with our elders and how thankful we are to those who left wisdom behind before they passed…the colors are a light blue and warm pink…I hope to have a fire this year as I have much to be thankful for…I hope to see you there

The animals are well…I was joking one day and called Draco ‘Mr. Trump’ because he has lost so much hair (mostly from his butt) as he is 13 (91 dog years)…now it is all he will answer to…Ramses is now on a diet…Chole was happy Dad got back from MA…it is too funny to watch him try to get dad’s attention

My wedding anniversary will be on Thanksgiving this year…can you believe it will be 15 years...he is a good man and I a very lucky woman…it seemed to go by so quick…Well my dear…it is again time for me to be off…I will see you soon

Glorious day to you,

Welcome…I am feeling much better thank you for asking…so much change underway…most for the better, but change for better or worse is stress…it has been a few weeks sit and have a Lifewater with me…

I am no longer and LMT…to me this was really sad…I know it is for the best thing to do as I need my focus on NPE…never thought I would miss calling clients…my purple stationary oakworks table is for sale…I also have massage stones and a paraffin tank…call or inbox me for information

School has been a wild ride…one bright note has been the ‘New Venture’ Class I am in…the professor is a challenge and makes learning fun…my other class is on leadership…the professor is like nails on a chalkboard…from bad leasers we learn what not to do and how not to act…then I got the call- I am accepted to the doctoral program…I will be the first doctor in our family (kinda weepy)

American Boudica has been bustling at the seams…Chris has brought us a new Author name of Keith Argyle…great strides are coming on with The Legends of the Girly Pirate…it has been so much fun…I am so impressed by how hard they have both been working…we hope to launch Keith’s first book with us soon…I can hardly wait to share Boudica’s new adventures with you:)

Nature’s Power and Energy has picked up steam…we now have a location to construct our current pool…did I mention I work with wicked smart people- this job is so cool…we have turned in many grant proposals…working together we have developed a logo and the start of marketing…then late Friday funding came in like a true blessing…I am so excited- I was dancing to that music only I can hear again…soon we will own full utility patent…dude, it is worth every hour I have put into it to see the HydroQueen dance in the water…we will be recording it and taking pictures…all information will be posted on the website…happy dance

 The Sunshine Paddle had been put on hold for my safety…this next paddle April of 2014 will again be off the coast of Pasco to give my body ample chance to heal…what I am currently going through is residual effects of the beating I took many years ago…I have not given up, I just feel if things are worth doing it is worth doing them properly when you can…if all goes well, I will launch for my east coast trip in April of 2015

Today is Mabon…the Autumn Equinox…the day of second harvest…a time to be thankful for the summer memories, summer blessings and sorrows- for I learned something from each…it is a time of family…it is raining here, maybe I will get a bonfire for Samhain…lol

My nephew has been born (brother to the baby girly pirate)…it is true, he is beautiful- he looks like me…lol…he is going to be a doctor of marine biology…his poor mom went through hell- God love her...Dad will soon go to meet him and help his mom...

Dad has spent time cleaning up the yard…we still have flowers popping everywhere, but the temp is only down to the mid 90s…has anyone got advice on figs??? Really would like to see it fruit again…my plumeria is growing like made…has me puzzled as it should be going into its dormant faze…
