How are you…I am here…the 100f degree heat has me cooking…I am glad we have a few to sit and chat…Make a Wish and blow

Yes, I am still a massage therapist…this is a calling put on my heart by my deity and one I must fulfill…I have to admit though, it does at points, push me past the outer limits of Krylon…I had 7 appointments scheduled this week and only 2 completed…each person had good reason, but still it is hard to pay bills when money is slow…I am thankful…at least I had 2

In school I got an A in ‘The Meaning of Health’…this class was something else…not really sure if I mean that in a good way or a bad one…it was all about how the brain effects the body and emotion…great information…did you know that the depressed feeling you get during the flu is not a ‘real feeling’ it is a feeling created by the brain…the brain releases a hormone that makes that feeling when mucus hits a certain level in the body proper…I have now entered ‘Psychology’ class…it is such soft science that often contradicts itself depending on what philosophy you follow so, for me it is usually like nails on a chalkboard…maybe this teacher will make it fun…after looking at the syllabus, she has given us plenty of work

American Boudica has been going over our new author’s, Dave Benuska, start of his book…we are quite happy and excited about this…I have been working on book 4 and Chris on the cover of book 3…he has been on the run with his painting muse…I am also upgrading our publishing software…I have to be honest that poor Rose has had her hands full with Chris and I…their grandchild and my adopted grandnephew is due soon…we are quite like children waiting for Santa…we are thousands of miles apart, but I always feel as though I could run around the corner and have a spot of tea…I am thankful for Walter and Rose for keeping Chris and I grounded;)

In the pool I have had this weird cloud…nothing has cleaned it out…after a month of trying everything under the sun, I drained it…I then refilled it…4 days later and the cloud is starting again…it is a funky looking brown cloud…when I get in the pool it looks like there is burnt butter on the bottom…as my foot hits the floor of the pool it puffs up like a cloud…it does not vacuum, I change the filter daily, add chlorine…I tried different stuff from Walmart, Kmart and Target…The pool place had the same stuff at 3x the price…anyway, here is my thought…all of this stuff in my pool had to be in the air of my yard…pools tend to work as air filters for the air around them…I have often thought of myself floating in natures tea when the water was clean…but, this truly weird…kind of like dropping your hand in a pile of baby powder…well, if you can think of something, I am open to suggestion

The gardens are doing well…I water between 8pm- 7am 2x a week…on June 15th the beds will get their last weeding until August 30…we are already facing high heat and humidity, to weed more than that would stress my plants…the flowers all around the yard have been giving big blooms this year

Mom and Dad are coming up on their 50 year anniversary…that’s a long time to pick up anyone’s draws…I felt bad because I wanted to get them something great, but, money is very tight…they will be going to Maine to see family…I wanted to try to get them a cool cottage by a beach…if anyone has ideas on this I am listening…all I could find was 500$ a week and up…I was hoping I could find someplace that had a couple of weeks, but that was way too high for me

Did you laugh today…did you know a rolling belly laugh (real or faked) that is done for 30 seconds or more will use almost every muscle in the body…if you do this 3x a day for more than 30 days, not only will you see a difference in your waistline, but you will see the start to see several improvements in your own life…keep a journal, positive thoughts and an open mind…bet I am right;) and the best part is that it is all free and done by you for you, so you really appreciate it;)

The Circle of Boudica has kept me running…holidays are important, but at the moment let me speak about life…Being there to help the new ones in or the old ones to go is very important…take time for both…weather they belong to you or not…a smile and kind word mean a lot to those who have nothing…money means nothing to those who need a hand to hold…also there has been a recent outbreak of women killing their children and then committing suicide…before you do something so stupid, talk to someone…though the country is in a VERY sad state at the moment…it will pass…if you really must depart this life, let your children have a try at theirs’…there is NO forgiveness in any religion I am aware of for those who harm children…on a better note…Midsummers is coming up…just a few weeks away…what are your plans????

Today is day 45 with No Tobacco…I am told at some point I will be happy about this…I can breathe a bit better…other than that I am not impressed…it made everyone else happy…

Hooked on a Feeling

Pull up a chair…I know I look tired, but I feel good…I got your messages…this week has been running at a break neck pace…here, enjoy some pomegranate juice and I will fill you in…


Massage has been great…I have been helping new therapists start their own business and trading information with others…I love my old Dean Martin CD…it is a 72 minute run and every client this week has let me work through the whole thing…the energy has been great…

Chris and I will be ready to release a special project at the end of next week…He and Rose are getting ready to tape Chapter 2 of the ‘Family, Friends and Funerals’ book…I am awaiting the demo copy of book 2 (Chronicles of an American Boudica, Love is Like an Onion), as soon as I approve it they will release it…my fingers are crossed that it will be perfect...

School has been difficult…I thought I would breeze through the computer class…Thank Goddess for a great teacher…I learned many new tricks and programs…I have to admit it was NOT easy….the meltdown I had with the Excel program…learning excel sucks…knowing excel is very useful…then for my final tests, the computer kept kicking me off causing me to fail…the teacher let me take them from a different computer and I was back to passing…my streak of A is still happening…YEA!!!!! My new class is American literature. I am very excited as this will teach me many new writing skills.

This was a great week for the Circle of Boudica…the Induction Ceremony was beautiful…I was honored by the presence of Lady Sabrina…since it is a very private thing there is not much I can say…however, I would like to thank those who sent wood from all over the world…the fire sparkled and smelled beautiful…the moon was clear and bright and I felt like the Goddess hung it just for me…I had to pinch myself…I now hold the title of Lady Dorraine…I now have members to our community and this community’s Book of Mysteries has been started…the first priestess training class starts October 1…I will also be preparing the young mothers on how to make the Samhain holiday fun for the kids…Samhain will be our first full service around the bon fire…I am attempting to hook up the webcam for those in our community around the world to join us…for any information please contact our Bard, Mr. Bilton...

Today I turn 45…what a wonderful feeling…often times in my younger years, I did not think I would make it this far…it took many people working hard to get me here…I work hard everyday so all their work is not wasted and in hopes to make them proud that they gave someone a chance…life is good and I have been blessed…my birthday wish is for all of my friends and family to feel so blessed…

Recipe for Herbal Tincture

1. Chop the fresh or dried herb and place it in a sterilized mason jar. The more finely chopped the herb becomes the more easily the plant material will be extracted. Coffee grinders are ideal for grinding dried herbs into powder. Food processors and vitamix blenders are often used for chopping or grinding fresh herbs.

2. Determine the amount of alcohol to add by determining the weight of the plant material. Alcohol should be added at a 1:5 ratio for dried herbs and 1:2 ratio for fresh herbs. One ounce of dried plant material would require 5 ounces of alcohol. One ounce of fresh plant material would require 2 ounces of alcohol. Pour the alcohol into the jar covering the herb. Vodka is commonly used alcohol for making herbal tincture.

3. Seal the mason jar with a sterilized lid and place it in a cool dark place. Label the jar with the date of preparation and the herbal contents. Shake the herbal tincture each day for two weeks.

4. After two weeks, strain the plant material from the herbal tincture using cheesecloth. Herbal tinctures should always be stored in dark colored, glass bottles. A dropper is ideal, as it will allow the herbal tincture to be dispensed at specific ratios. Label the dropper bottle with the date and type of herbal tincture.

Did anyone see my brain?

I am sorry to show up in tears…life has me quite frustrated…

Massage is going okay…we are getting ready to make the video on aqua-therapy…Tim comes thru in the clutch again…it is kind of cool…his love of gizmos is a great thing…Dale is having truck problems and has not been in, so if you call and do not get an answer…leave me a message and I will call you as soon as I can…

School is good…I am a little tweaked…I did a beautiful paper…the teacher asked for 7 herbs…I am so anal, I did 11…it took me 30 hours over 4 days…as you can tell, I am very proud of it…when I submitted it, he returned it and made me cut it to 7….I was horrified at having to cut up my work…he was correct…he did ask for 7…the final product was okay (not as totally awesome as the first was though)…I am not angry, but I have to admit, I feel a little disappointed…my being anal has bit me in the ass again

Chris and I have been working hard…American Boudica Publishing is going to come out with 6 new products in the next 3 months…the new website…at times I feel a bit overwhelmed, but I know it will pay off when we are done

I am still on hold with the government bidding…many of the companies are still trying to deal with the bonding issue…I think the best way we can cut costs and get things done is to remove some of the red tape from the federal and state government…Our choices here in Florida this year are brutal…for governor, we have this thief who is in the lead (the LARGEST Medicare FRAUD in HISTORY), he is the reason our seniors are paying way more for their benefits and why so many benefits have been cut…he says ‘I had no idea…it was my company’…speaking as a woman who has owned or ran 9 companies…for him to say he did not know means…either he is negligent at running his company or he is a liar…the #2 guy has been caught spending state money (or use of the state plane) on or for personal issues…though the people in his district seem to do well…also note he has not lied when asked about use of the state plane…I guess I will vote for the one I do not see on TV…this means they could not find any dirt on that person…

My friend Greg came out to visit…Dale, Greg and I played Yahtzee and had a good time…Don came up later in the week and went swimming…it was very cool…mostly, I babbled about everything that was stuck in my brain from so much studying…he is too polite to tell me to shut up…friends are what make life sweet.

Cooper has been out in the garden every morning…the heat has all the plants on hold, but not the weeds or the lawn…I have a hard time keeping fluids in him…it is like the plants knew he was coming home…48 hours after he lands all the flowers bloomed…too funny…even the tomato plant in the turvey thing that got ate by the caterpillar is coming back…Cooper’s magic wand strikes again…

I added air pumps to the pond…it does make a big difference…the fish seem much happier…the algae has not been bad either…speaking of fish…I refuse to speak about BP anymore…their credit sux as far as I am concerned and I will never shop at any of their stores again…the slick just didn’t disappear and now everything is just fine…how flipping stupid do they think we are???

My animals are like a family…today, the first 2 baby sugar gliders went to their new home today…I know they went to a good home…you see they stay with the parents for a year before they are ready to go…I got attached…I think chewy bitems thought he was the dad…he was in the middle of everything and now is letting me know he is upset…the rest are not happy either…I am kind of sad myself…thank god they went to a good home or I would be a real mess…I was never good at giving away puppies either…

The children have me slightly perturbed…I am a mom…they are my children…I want what is best for them…it is no longer my choice…it is theirs…this is far easier said than done…they want to be independent…it is the same pit in the stomach as the sugar gliders, but worse

Walter has been working hard…when he is done bottling the Aquafina he has had to do all of the errands as the road has been shut down…one person fighting traffic is plenty…he has also been helping dad around the yard…he was happy when our nephew Alex came for a visit

Along with healthcare, many of the conversations have been revolving around history…to bring forth what is new…it must be built on bedrock…to do so you must comprehend the past…so to speak on this is really interesting to me…

It a beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor…would you be mine…could you be mine…the house next door is still empty…several people say they will rent it, but so far it is empty…

I do not have a remedy, but I do have a warning...The FDA has now banned the use of many herbs coming from China and India that come in paste form due to the HIGH amount of TOXINS that have been added to the paste...
