Merry Meet,

How have you been??? It has been a crazy year – highly productive but, crazy…I am glad you have stopped to celebrate the solstice with me…it is good to clean out the old energy, to let in the new…I am so excited for 2018 to get here…

American Boudica has been busy behind the scenes as well as having many global public appearances…art shows and exhibits have been high on Chris’s list…Rose has been going to jewelry shows…we currently have 3 books started and waiting for me…it did my heart good to see them keep the home fires burning while my focus was elsewhere…Alex is joining us as we begin to put together the Girly Pirate Store

 

Nature’s Power and Energy has landed our first patent…the HydroQueen is ours…this was a long-fought battle…my best advice for anyone going through this – do not give up, listen and keep pushing forward…we have started putting together the marketing for her, and started the next projects…the excitement is palpable…

Rooney Detail has been a good company this year we have worked on 35 cars…fine detail, fabric cleaning and waxing have raised the bar…the private driver department of this has made money too…Chris will be working with Walter to build this…gets more interesting as it goes along…

My doctoral journey is almost complete…I passed my second defense and now await release from the IRB to complete my research…the dissertation is your work ‘filtered’ through the eyes of your committee…I am blessed with a wonderful committee…it is a great body of work and knowledge…I am also blessed with many family and friends who made time for me…

 

The Circle of Boudica has helped in 4 different countries this year…we hope to handle more next year…this tight knit group has helped many and I am Thankful for it…it is a blessing to be part of it…life can be good and that should be celebrated…

The yard is wrapped up for winter…it will be exciting to sit by the fire with a cup of rum laden cocoa…I would be happy for you to join us

Saying Thank You

 

Merry Meet,

The last few months have shown how really bi-polar life can be…I am happy to see you…grab you a chair and a soda and sit with me…life has been more hectic than usual…lol…I know that is saying something…kick your feet up while I fill you in…

 

My first defense was before my dissertation committee…my second defense presentation will be before faculty, IRB, students and the public on November 30, 2017…if I pass this I will be allowed to conduct my research…I can see the light at the end of the tunnel…the third and final defense is when the research is complete.  documented and ready to present…I am pushing to graduate this spring

 

Nature’s Power and Energy has been a hive of activity…on October 19, 2017 the HydroQueen was finally approved…on 11/08/2017 we were issued a patent number and that patent will be released on 11/28/2017…this is a little over 6 years since inception and 5 years from filing…now to market…research and sales…pushing forward…
 

American Boudica has been moving at a snail’s pace…with so much focus being diverted to completing the aforementioned situations- we have chosen this time to work on creative skills (writing workshops, drawing classes, photography class, etc.)...this will place us in a better position as we get ready to be back at work…

 

The detail shop has been busy as people get ready to see family on the holiday…they want it to clean to go and cleaned up when they get back…lol…I love our customers…any car booked for this weekend gets 10% off total receipt.

The Sunshine Paddle has been rather slow, and we had to call off the holiday challenge this year due to my getting punctured by a stingray while at Ft. Desoto…though we plan on continuing, it will just take some time to heal…I continue to practice and get ready for Paddle 2018

In the Circle of Boudica, Yule is approaching fast…the winter solstice for this year will happen on December 22…it has been a busy year and we have much to be thankful for…the bonfire this year will be open to all who wish to attend

FEMA inspected the house and verified the damage but, turned us down as we were still living in the home…at first, I was very upset, then I remembered that I still have a house and I am young enough to work to fix it…it is not up to the government to bail me out…

 

I have most of the clean up from Irma complete…I am getting ready to plant a winter veggie garden…Helmat has been running around with me…grandchildren are awesome…he has helped as I have started winter pruning and planting…we have been teaching him to ride a bike…I am thinking of getting chickens again…it will have to wait until my dissertation is complete…as you can see my focus is direct on the grandchild, school and turbines…my view will expand again shortly, I promise…

Merry Meet,

As we roll in the hurricanes of fall, I am thankful…glad you stopped by…it will not be long until I see the fruits of my labor…I hope you plan on being there to enjoy it with me…

American Boudica is back from hiatus…Chris has been working hard and I feel I am playing catch up...lol…during this time we are getting ready by upgrading with new tools and software…we currently have 3 books in the works…a new video is not far off either…it is fun and breeds excitement…

 

At Nature’s Power and Energy has made our final upload to the patent office on Friday and expect to have release any day…the HydroQueen started as a dream…to do the research on this apparatus was so much of a learning curve – product, government agencies, workers…when I gain patent, it will be around 5 years from start to finish…I did all the patent paperwork myself – if you have money, get a lawyer…it is a long, hard process

 

Butter Wet Wax…this is a great application…with wash on a lightly dirty car, it takes about 3 hours and lasts and average driver about 2 weeks…leaves a very smooth, mirror finish surface and has UV protectant…smells like bananas…I have done 3 cars, I love how it gives the appearance of fresh paint…

 

My dissertation has been a long journey…Thursday I have my mock-defense on the first 3 chapters of my research…it has been a difficult journey for my committee, I am not a patient person…getting ready to take my credential exam is adding to the stress of it all…lol…it will be great to have it done

 

Dominos has kept me driving around Zephyrhills…Rooney Media released its first video under Sunshine Paddle to help women learn to do bills…At Girly Pirate, we are still looking for a multinational T-shirt vendor…so there is much to do...

 

In the Circle, we are celebrating the Mabon Festival…good food and feasting to celebrate the harvest and how hard we worked through summer…a time of being thankful for all that one has been blessed with…

 

 

 

During hurricane Irma, the marriage-line on my home cracked open…I have applied for FEMA and am waiting for inspection…I have paid off my home…I had to go see my mentor, Walter Stewart, this reminded me that even when things are not easy-sometimes you need to pull up the big person panties and roll…I was happy to see him and it was good to hug him…because of it being so long, much of the paperwork on the home has been lost and I have had to file through the court for new paperwork…I did not make it to MA this year and my nephew gave me a hard way to go for missing his birthday…so, at some point I must go visit…I have also been applying for jobs, it would be nice to find a place to fit in…no, there has really been no pool time since July…I turn 52 Tuesday and I will be headed to the water, it has been too long and the salt in the water is calling the blood in my veins….Wanna Come???? I would love to see you there...it will be a day of water and food...it will be nice to have a day off...

Summer Mental Sojourn

 

Merry Meet,

How are you? You have the relaxed look of summer…for me it has been a season of focus, trying to get some closure and move forward…I laughed when a friend told me it made her tired just to hear about what was going on in my life…

Chris has been enjoying a summer break…he and rose have been romping around mid-west England…American Boudica is currently on hiatus…this is allowing both of us to focus and wrap up other situations…

Though Nature’s Power and Energy is still waiting on patent work, that only takes Alex and myself…the rest of the company has been given summer hiatus…a well-rested crew tend to be more innovative…

 

Rooney Detail and Driving has been busy…my guys do not mind working in the heat…I have been catching trips around the state…it is the slowest month of the year in Florida and we Floridians use this time to visit family and friends…I have met some super interesting people and have gotten some interesting sites…

 

Rooney Media will be releasing its first video this week…this is really special…it will be far from the best but, it will be a place to start…it feels good to be moving forward…with so much going on it has been difficult to get trained on all the new software

 

Girly Pirate has been looking for a global vendor or a vendor with the ability to handle global disbursement…I have also been contacting individual countries to see if we can acquire special dispensation and possibly handle distribution ourselves…I think I have found a brick and mortar in Zhills…applications will start being taken in October…

Sunshine Paddle has been making appearances…Pine Island in Hernando County has been a great respite…thanks to the boat rental people, there we were able to take several young people on their first boat ride…Honeymoon Island was a great adventure…the weather was so wonky we were not able to paddle but, it was great exploring the island

 

Study, research, write…and repeat…school is burning my brain…I am on the last leg of my doctoral journey…I have submitted my first 3 chapters and wait to hear if they have been accepted…global supply chain strategy…non-military procurement…I know you are just so excited to hear such terms…I can do this…I am blessed with a great study group…

 

The first of August is coming and I have planned a feast and movies in the pool…Lughnasadh will be opening the harvest season…in my view this is a season to give thanks – for what you have and for future blessings to be bestowed…

 

The genetic testing showed me to be of Pirate and Viking decent…no real surprise to me…the medical information is clean…I did have a high rate of Neanderthal – no wonder I am so hard headed…I have found a few new relatives…really kind of cool

 

My grandson has kept me running…I have been helping him get ready for pre-K…I bought workbooks and we work on at least one page each time he is here…I took him on his first boat trip…it was a paddle boat and I let him navigate…He met Ranger Bill on Honeymoon Island who explained the natural environment the Island provides to creatures in and out of the water

 

Glad you made time to jump in the pool with me…it does the mind some good to slow down and focus…the parents are good…the husband has been a challenge but, what husband isn’t…lol…the question I get asked often is when I will take a vacation, the only answer for that is “soon”…in the meanwhile, I will take breaks like this when I can…I also am putting together a winter wardrobe and hope I can get time to visit soon…

Have you ever been one step away from melting down…I am glad you stopped to see me, it has been so super busy that I am surprised I remember to breathe…I would love to slow down as I am in dire need of a break but, this is not the time for that…sit down and I will fill you in…

Chris has been working on American Boudica…with me working on the dissertation, he has had to carry the weight…he has been doing an AMAZING job…Rose has stepped up to help to give us both mental support…this company employs 10 people globally, none are full time…this company is based in art and literature…we volunteer as readers and aid with such charities…

 

Natures Power and Energy is an LLC…many of us have been working globally for several years and now we await the release of the patent…we heard from the inspector last week, we will now need more revisions…so many of us are counting on this – 5 years so far…my frustration level is really high, I feel the weight on my shoulders to get it right…there are about 25 global workers in this currently

Rooney Detail and Driving has been busy…it employees 4-part time local…trips to the airport are getting to be a specialty…summer crusin has been cause for wash and wax…working by appointment only allows us to focus on one customer at a time…I just go through the books and customer requests for the time being because, the dissertation needs my focus…

Rooney Media has been setting up its first few projects…a few videos and a back drop for a United States drummer…this has 15 local workers and 10 global workers…this has had a big learning curve and been really interesting…working with people to find their inner creativity has been unique…

Girly Pirate has been busy…this company has 12 workers globally…T-shirts, Flags, stickers along with books and artwork will soon be available…we have been working on getting a contract on brick-n-mortar in Zephyrhills…we will soon be hiring locally…these will be people who will be trained to handle orders both on and off line….

The Sunshine Paddle for 2017 raised $240 in cash and was split between Sunrise of Pasco Abuse Shelter and Helping Hands Food Bank…it is my blessing to be able to help make my community a better place…this charity is in over 85 countries and has been able to aid communities in reducing violence in the home…we have stepped forward and do this work for free…there are over 25 crew members globally…

If it was easy everyone would have a doctorate…I am still working on my dissertation…much like the patent office, it is rewrite after rewrite…to say this is a long-drawn-out process...I am spending hours upon hours in research…so much so, I am choosing to gain my credential- this is an extra exam that will cost me $800…if I pass, with my degree, I will be able to work on the global supply chain…this has added a heavy study load to an already full schedule

In the Circle of Boudica our prayer for rain was heard and answered…mid-summers eve is coming up on the 21^st…several people went over the rainbow bridge in the last few weeks…at times I wonder if I just notice it more because I am getting older…Father’s Day is coming and it is a blessing that the men in my life now are awesome

I have been working from 4 am – 8 pm, 7 days a week…for the last few years…I have many people counting on me…as soon as some of this slows down, I will again have time to hang out with everyone…until then, my focus is work…some people have gotten angry with me about this…I cannot help it, the responsibilities I took on require follow through

I have entered into genetic research…this requires weekly extraction of some body fluid…at the end I should have a bumper of medical information…it is exciting…my doctor thinks it is cool as it will aid him in treatment of my parents, daughter and grandson…

As you can see, I have had a great deal on my mind…more than just a little overwhelmed…I am sorry if you feel ignored but, this is what I must do to get where I want to go…I am thankful you are patient and understanding

Feelin the Vibe

Hello,

How are you??? I am working on fine tuning me…it has become time to let go of some things that are not working…finishing up different things…and really just learning and growing though many of life’s lessons…

The projects at American Boudica are moving slowly at the moment due to a hyper schedule of all of us as individuals…Chris has been handling our Art shows throughout South Yorkshire and I have been getting ready to open the showroom 3 days a week, Walter is currently constructing the space…Rose has been doing evermore intricate bead work…she really amazes me…we have 2 books in the works right now

Nature’s Power and Energy is still waiting on the patent…this is more than a little frustrating…after much thought, this company got put on hiatus until either we receive the patent or I wrap up things that, at the moment, take higher priority…

Rooney Detail has been having a good month…lots of RVs and boats getting ready for summer…thankfully we got the Meguire’s order got here late last month…we got a call to go to the coast to work on a 59 Rolls Royce…so very neat…the private driver work has proved helpful too…it is fun to watch the company grow

Rooney Media is still in the learning dynamic…with a pirate for a boss, it is not easy…camera angles and lighting…content…we should be ready to start rolling out the work soon…this seemed like it was going to be so easy, again those who do it correctly make it look much easier than it is…though I have been finding it enjoyable and it adds another feather to my cap:)

Girly Pirate has been busy working with media productions…the seminar went well but, many have requested video…to be ready when they are ready to shoot the video, I am working on putting together separate pieces of the seminar to make each video a section of the overall seminar…this is really fun and exciting

The 2017 Sunshine Paddle is complete…this year was plagued with problems and I ended up going alone…I was thankful that I had started a workout challenge several weeks before or I would have been in real trouble…with the amount of working out in the water and out, it took every spare second I had…I am glad to be able to help the community- it is a blessing…

The dissertation is working…the first 3 chapters are complete…I will soon need to defend them…I have submitted my IRB paperwork and am awaiting permission to implement my survey…OMG hurry up and wait- this has my nerves frazzled…this will be done soon and I will have my doctorate…I am excited about completing and it is driving me forward to graduation

In the Circle of Boudica, Beltaine is 4 days away and there will be NO fire this year due to burn bans…so, I will celebrate by swimming circles in the pool…I will pray for peace, in mind, in heart, and in habit…and I will pray for rain, my beautiful Florida is dry and needs the water…

Walter and I got the pool up…I cleared away all that was dead from the gardens, this was a good deal as we are dealing with drought conditions…Mom and Dad took a trip up North…they had a great time with my brother’s family…I am getting ready to take the CSCP credential exam…so much at one time can sometimes be overwhelming
