Merry Meet My Child,

Yes, I am a bit cranky…I am ill (my sugar/heart) and that has me landlocked…I’m really one that has never been a good patient and people are pissing me off- I so want to be on the water…you look ready to go with me…lol

Massage is going well…someone asked me what I would tell someone considering this as a profession…I would tell them to really think about it- this is not an easy job physically or mentally and I have NO idea where Yahoo or those other places come up with the overinflated pay scale…during a good economy they were right…at the moment- I am thankful my husband has a job…I love my job and find it quite rewarding- I do Medical Massage…I have been doing it for over 8 years and have worked for clinics, doctors, sports centers and private practice…to me it is a calling and I am privileged for each body given to me to work on…

School, with my Bachelor’s of Science Degree done…I am in my prerequisite classes for my second degree…Accounting…it is a personal admiration of mine to those who comprehend this…I am working my hind end off and will be real happy to get a B…ever so thankful am I for such a patient teacher…this is not easy, but must be obtained to get where I want to go…you will find very little in life is worth having if you do not work hard for it

American Boudica is preparing for our winter release of Book 3 now entitled ‘Legend of the Girly Pirate’…we are excited and looking forward to bringing it out first on reader/tablet format…Chris will be doing the artwork…I am thrilled his granddaughters’ Alex and Jade are working on a children’s book…if you have a child with drawing talent please let Chris and/or I know…1/2 of the profit money from this book will go to a children’s charity in England of Alex and Jade’s choosing…I am proud of them for taking on such an effort and I think they will do smashing

In the Circle of Boudica, we rang in the harvest with a cheer…I look forward to Mabon…the colors are dark green and dark purple…it is the holiday of giving Thanks for the many blessings that have been entrusted to us through the year…it is a quiet, simple holiday…

Though Dad and I have kept the grass mowed, the flowers and weeds are growing big…my normal summer help has disappeared and with the heat so high we have been having a hard time keeping up…the flowers have been giving up some bodacious color…I think it also due to the vast amounts of rain this summer has brought- we needed it though so I can’t bitch…

  The Sunshine Paddle is still a work in progress…due to my current physical status the doctors currently have me landlocked…The Lady Blue Horizon is in her storage spot at the moment…she will be excited to be back in the water…I need to wax her while I have her in the air…

Making it Look Easy

How are you this fine day? I have been hard at work…I am sorry you were not able to catch me earlier this week…it has been a little crazy




Massage is always the best place to start…I had a few clients in and out this week…they enjoyed quizzing me for the upcoming final…I am getting ready to put my own office here on the property outside of the home itself, as my practice is getting too big to be in the house anymore…Walt and I have started looking at outbuildings…I have been working on a neck massage technique- it looks so relaxing…

In school, I took my final in acupuncture…this means I now have a Bachelors of Science in Natural Medicine…YEA…Monday I start grad school…No, I am not really sure at my age what I am thinking…my first class will be fiscal accounting…hmmmm…maybe I have really gone crackers




American Boudica Publishing is in full swing…our next book will be available on Kindle soon…the new website will be more interactive and have new features…we are excited about this…we hope to launch the ringtone by the end of summer and the APP by Christmas…I have to say it is really neat

The Circle of Boudica is getting ready for the Lughnasadh 2012 and it looks to be special (Aug 1), I will having a feast and bon fire…candles are green, blue and yellow…incense is sandalwood…this is when we pray for a good harvest or for the things in life we have been working hard on to start to come together…on Aug 15 it will be time to pull out ball jars to clean and get ready for canning and time to pull out the winter gear in time to repair, replace or clean


It has been a very wet summer…the flowers are blooming with bright vibrant color…the lawn is being mowed twice a week- that is being conservative…Dad Has veggies growing everywhere…they do not like it when he is gone…at least it has rained everyday so I will not get yelled at about the watering…

The Sunshine Paddle is in practice and workout mode again…I have sat back and thought about all we have been able to accomplish- I have to admit I am impressed…I am the one with the paddle, but I have much love and support behind me…Tropical Storm Debby has dumped much water and just when we started to dry- we have been having much rain…many areas are flooded…in my paddles, I must share- flood currents are not stable…if you get caught in one- you could be hurt…


So as you can see, I have been a little swamped…thank you for making time to come and see me…Tuesday, I will be going to ‘Wet and Wild’ the water park in Orlando if you want to join me…

Everyday we make tough choices…some good- some bad…how we stand up to them is what makes us who we are…doing what’s right even when its not popular shows ethics…being honest…yes, I know I make it sound so easy- it is not really…you are not the first to point out that I make it look easy…think about it this way- I did it wrong so much so, right has been pounded into my brain…lol

Lookin Out My Front Door

Greetings and Good Day to You,

I am happy to see you…how fared your home in all the rain…we sprung a few leaks, but were able to handle it…my computer blew- his doctor has him up and running again now…Tropical Storm Debby kicked some coastal behind and is just starting to recede…

My clients have been steadily coming in…they really are amazing…I am so blessed to have such support…recently, 2 of my clients have passed…you see, I have clients for several years (usually until they move away or die) and it hurts to see them pass…I am lucky to have been part of their healthcare team…people leaving this planet need as much love as those coming in…the energy from these massages is very rewarding

In school I just passed Traditional Chinese Meds with an A…I am currently in Acupuncture…this is my last class and I will have a Bachelors’ of Science Degree…I am really excited…I will walk for graduation in March at the Boca Campus of Everglades- How freakin cool is this

With Chris having the helm of American Boudica Publishing, it has given me freedom to go back into production mode…we are getting ready to release the next book…we are psyked to announce we will soon release a ring tone at the end of August…a few other things are in the works, I will keep you posted as I can

The Circle has been busy…many children have been ill…so far they have all come to their respective homes and are out of the hospitals- always a good thing…we are making ready for Lughnasadh…I am looking for green and blue candles…if you find some cool ones please let me know

Due to Tropical Storm Debby, I had not got much time to paddle- other than in my front yard (lol)…needing to keep the work out going, my friend Steve suggested I try metal detecting…this was actually a good thing as it worked all the right muscles and I found a pair of Oakley Sunglasses…

The Sunshine Paddle helped send 2 women to MI for the reading of ‘The Vagina Monologues’…we have started putting together next years trip…I also went and paddled over on Hudson Beach as soon as the water receded enough…this was a difficult paddle…though there were no real waves, the current just under the surface was quite strong…my chest still feels ripped up…we have been going through the equipment- some of it is falling apart after almost 2 years in salt water…

Though the water has been deep, the gardens are doing well…Cooper is home and the flower beds are full and colorful…because he has continually cut the grass it has soaked up any standing water in the roots…the hues are quite bright and blooms are prolific

The dogs have not had it easy as the bugs are trying to ride on them…I have doused them with Advantage…though Quintus hates the bath, he does like if mommy dries him off…they all really just love any excuse to snuggle

Dandelion- The leaves of this plant are a powerful diuretic. The roots are a blood purifier which helps remove toxins from the liver and kidneys. Because it is high in vitamins and iron, this herb is useful for treating anemia.

Sunshine Superwoman

It has been a while…the first try at the paddle was an epic fail and upon my return home I was quite ill…mentally, I was not in the greatest space either…just then, many people started contacting me…seems that sometimes one must wade through deep shit to get to the beautiful flowers…

 

The last few months have left me with a quite irregular schedule…my massage patients have followed the website…they continued to call and come in…they have had unfaltering belief in me…I wanted to be depressed, but they will not allow this and say just by trying I have done more than most…we will conquer it next year

 

In school this month, I tackled Chinese Meds…I did very well and considering I was on the road for most of the month- I was impressed…this subject is a natural common sense way of look at healthcare, but insurance and pharmaceutical companies would not make as much money- so it is a rare thing to see the approach used very often…lets face it…they do not make money if you remain healthy

 

 

Chris and I are getting Book 3 ready for release and book 4 is getting rewritten to accommodate the Girly Pirate…He has been quite good as the head of the publishing company…it is nice to feel things moving again…Marilyn has jumped onboard with us…she has the office head we have been needing…

 

In the Circle we have been running to hospitals…lungs, liver, digestive issues, cancer…I have been to hospitals in 7 states…I would not rate any above another- all had very caring staffs and were clean…it is not easy when we have people we love hurting…I have been at the passing of 3 friends in the last month…it is not mine to question, but to accept…yes, it hurts…a long time ago, I began to understand I am a small part of a very big picture…we had such a beautiful midsummer’s holiday- I would like to think they had a hand in it

 

The Sunshine Paddle first attempt did not go well…it ran into a few unforeseen issues…so it has been rescheduled for next year…I just got back from a road trip up the coast to meet with people and talk about domestic violence…I also got to paddle in every state on the coast…this was a needed trip to gain information to make sure of my safety next year…the amount of great people is heart warming

 

 

I think we should talk about failure…it is not a bad thing…it should be looked at as a point of growth, adaptation and change…this is a big lesson to learn…the first question one should ask in this situation is- can I salvage anything from this, if you say yes the start to salvage- if the answer is no, cut all ties and let go…neither way will be easy and both will take hard work… moving toward a positive goal takes some of the sting out of the as kicking you just took too…lol…you could always give up but, what fun would that be

 

 

 

The gardens are looking a tad bit wild…the cactus had over 100 buds this year…I also have deep purple gladiolas popping up…it has been raining quite a bit…the vibrant colors popping out everywhere…Cooper will soon be home and have the beasties tamed… the dogs have been very protective since I have been home…one has to be within a foot of me at all times…lol…they take shifts…I guess life is not the same when I am not home

 

People often try to understand why I paddle…I have been raised around the water…it has always come as second nature to me…a part of my being…it can be a very emotional place…since my body was broken several times, it became very difficult to be active…I was given a paddle and freedom returned to my soul…to paddle beside animals makes you heart soar…to feel the power of the wave is a rush…it is a peace my mind had not known for years…kind of like chocolate it goes deep

 

So, have another cup of coffee and fill me in with what you have been up to…it is summer…did you make plans????

 

 

 

Do not forget to plant a bucket of aloe for sunburns and one of mint for upset bellies...

Safe, but Not Sound

 I am glad you came to see me…yes, I am back on my feet…sit down grab a Lifewater and relax…

I have been seeing clients this week while I am home…I really love my job…one of my clients told me he was glad I got sick, so I could come home and take care of him…lol

Chris is still handling American Boudica Publishing…we are excited and will soon be releasing a new book…

School has been going well even with my blow out…I got a 92% in my Capstone Class…I am now in Traditional Chinese Medicine…this is a happy class for me…only 1 class left and I will be a graduate with a Bachelors of Science…

In the Circle of Boudica, we have been speaking of how things happen for a reason…I was brought home due to being ill- my mother had heart issues and my friend had liver issues and both needed me here, neither would tell me while I was on the paddle because they did not want to worry me…I was very proud of Debby and how she held the line when I got ill…

I know you are wondering about the paddle…I was not in the best of health…when I left home I was dehydrated…even in such a state I paddled 22 miles before I had to put in…I ended up in a hypoglycemic situation…Debby decided to take me a doctor who felt it best I should be with my own doctor…I will continue to practice and launch again next year

I will be taking a coastal trip to obtain information for the paddle, to see family and to speak to battered women…Walter and the dogs will miss me, but understand I am trying to do good things…I am excited about paddling in Maine and Massachusetts with friends

How glad I am to see you…please wade through all the packing supplies…so sorry to have not been around…it is crazy, we are down to 25 days and there is so much to be done…

I have spoken to all my patients and they are aware my massage office will be closed from May 10, 2012- Aug. 15, 2012…they know I will miss them, but they know this is something I must do and they stand behind me…I am blessed

American Boudica Publishing is under control of Chris Bilton until my return in August 15, 2012…you will soon be able to see his work at the Rotherham Art Festival

School is going well…Feng Shui has been quite interesting…Today is my final…then a whole week of spring break…my next class will be in Chinese Medicine while on the paddle…I am actually excited about this…a netbook was donated for me to use for my studies while on the road…we also got a printer donation…the school is aware I am on the paddle and is working with me…Blessings are abundant

The gardens will be somewhat overgrown this summer…dad will be here to care for them until my return…I have been trying to catch everything up before I leave, but alas there are only so many hours in a day…my plants are strong enough to make it until I get home…I will joyfully clean it up when I get home…

Tristan will be married tomorrow…I am sad not to be there, but she has promised to send pictures and video…young Matt will be a nice addition to the family…his actions and reactions have me happy with him…I feel she has chosen well:)

The Vagina Monologues went wonderfully…we had a packed house at the Zephyrhills Lyons Club…great fun and great message…if you get the chance I highly recommend it

The Sunshine Paddle is only 25 days away…my nerves are on high…trying to make sure we have everything…painted and lettered the truck…packing, unpacking and packing again…begging for donations…checking in with every state and rechecking with the coast guard…prepare for the worst/hope for the best…I took the Florida’s Boaters test and passed…so much to do and so many gizmos to learn…getting them all registered and all paperwork turned in...I am excited about the blessing of the horizon...I am happy Pastor Scott agreed to help…Debby will be here on May the 10^th…she too is making ready to get under way with me…

Life will be back to Normal in August…until then, feel loved…you can write the address on the site (they will know my mail stops on route) or call and leave messages for me on that phone as I will call home daily…

Hypoglycemia

Merry Meet,

I was told that my body was fighting me 6 months ago…quitting smoking after over 20 years of hard addiction…losing weight…the tremendous amount of exercise I had started doing…the doctor told me I was not diabetic, but I did have hypoglycemia…really I paid no attention- he could have told me I had a sprained ankle…so much to do…I just kept going and added in meditation when I thought of it

About a month ago, I started having bad panic attacks and having a hard time speaking…I had no idea these were symptoms of this new calamity that had entered my life…I made an appointment with the doctor when I noticed how aggressive I had become…he sat me down to have a long chat with me…this was far more serious than I had originally thought

With yet another new menu plan…I started moving forward about a week ago…cigarettes will continue to be a thing of the past…I will continue to push my body…at this point I have lost 100 lbs…meditation is an everyday thing now…now I will also need to check my blood several times a day…Yuk

Your next question is about the paddle…it should not be…Janis, Marilyn, Steve, Chris and  Myself have been doing research…I can and will pull this off…we do need donations now:)

I am the Girly Pirate…The Lady Blue Horizon is ready to ride the waves…all gear is stowed…she and I are ready, willing and able…I am about to start 30 mile timed runs with and against the current…I found an awesome Landing flag from Amazon.com (this is also where Chewy’s life vest came from)…anyone who wants to paddle with me just give me a call…it would be great

I am putting as much as possible in shut down mode so that Walter and Dale can hold the fort down while I am gone…I am glad that Janis is going…I feel by North Carolina, I will be passing exhaustion into ‘the state of robot’…she knows how to reach in that hermit shell and keep me going…if I need to slow down I will, but it is not my plan- it is my back up…if you would like to send a letter by kayak, I will carry 50 letters up…have your person meet me at the landing to pick it up…all of my internet friends are welcome to come…if you live near a Landing, please stop and say hello

I have heard every negative POS about this paddle…while some places have bent over backward to help…others…well we will just say they did not have time…I no longer have time for the negative nor will I make time for it…my focus is between school and the paddle…it does not mean I do not love or care about you- it does mean I will not get sucked into anyone’s vortex of crapp- I just do not have time

For those who have a free hand I could use some help…I will now get used to a new eating paradigm and continue to ready for the trip…continue to work on my bachelors…

How are you doing…spring is here…it has been quite crazy as of late…sorry I have not been around much…let me fill you in

Massage has been a happy place…many of the clients have been coming in to see me…we have been talking about a plans and what to do while I am on the paddle…we laugh about how busy I will be when I return…I think I have the best group of patients:)

School is going well…I am taking Nutrition and Pathology…it is a very interesting class…it also reinforces and add structure to what we have already learned…it is difficult to keep up because of what is going on, but so far so good

American Boudica Publishing has been focused on the Sunshine Paddle…Chris has been working on artwork…he and his granddaughters’ Alex and Jade are working on a Children’s book called ‘Animals of the Paddle’…so far it looks good

Ostara will be a big holiday (3/20/12) for me this year…the first lambs were born this week…I will be requesting safe passage…all who wish to join me at the bon fire, just call…I will be making the feast first

The SunshinePaddle will be happening in 65 days…I am making appearances, have joined a play (The Vagina Monologues- for the shelter), trip planning, sending letters, practice, shopping, etc…this does not even speak on testing equipment…it is very important to me…

Spring is popping out everywhere…I have been trying to clean up…this year I have had so little time, I am shoveling sand against the tide…flowers have started popping up everywhere…goes to figure Dad is NC and missing it…lol

Busy…Busier…Busiest

How be you this fine day…I am well and verily busy…I am thankful you made time to catch up to me…I know my schedule has gotten crazy…

Massage has been a delight…I have had a few clients who have given me a real challenge…this has been difficult as some of the specialists in this area think all therapists are hookers…fighting those predisposed notions is a pain, but the clients are worth it…

School as of late has been awesome…sadly Political Science has now ended and I got an A…YEA…it was exciting and fun…it was a class based in history...I did a paper on Patrick Henry 'Give Me Libety or Give Me Death'…I had a blast, but I do not think the teacher will ever be the same :)

American Boudica has been working- albeit at a snail’s pace…Chris and his granddaughters have started the children’s book and doing a smashing job…I miss being able to write everyday…it has given Chris time to develop his painting…the paddle will soon be done and we can get back to pen and paper…I miss hearing the stories from across the pond too I have to admit:)

The Circle has a low rumble about Ostara (March 20)…I will be having a meal and the a Bon Fire…love can only grow when it is shared…for those who cannot attend, write on a slip of paper 5 things that make you happy- flip it over and write on the opposite side 5 things you do to make others happy and mail it to me- I will place them in the fire for you:)

The SunshinePaddle is now under the 90 mark…I am starting to put everything together…appearances and practice have me fairly wiped out…in a good way though…I am glad to finally have the truck and camper situation for the ground crew secured…now gas, food and lodging areas…my push for donations is on and it feels like I am fighting an uphill battle…one I feel needs fought…

My mom is now home and running around with her friends…I am sure she has tested the sewing machine to make sure I did not blow it up…lol…Dad has been up with Dansir and Tristan in North Carolina…sounds like they are having fun

With all the recent rain and warm weather, the yard is springing back to life…I try to get to as much as possible…I just have not had as much time as I need out there and Dad is not home…maybe soon

I have been channeling my inner Captain Phil…’you can sleep when you’re dead, now get back to work’…isn’t he also the one that said ‘I know why lions eat their young’…lol...another shot of Flodgers please…I can get through this

Reducing Hot Flashes (always ask your doctor)

2 teaspoons of cohosh root
1 teaspoon of don quai root
2 teaspoon of sarsaparilla
2 teaspoon of licorice root
1 teaspoon of chaste tree
2 teaspoon ginseng root

Low boil together in 3C water for 1 hour- 3T local/organic honey…remove from heat and steep for 1 hour…strain into colored glass bottle…add 1C Brandy and seal for 2 weeks in cool dry space…no more than 3 Tablespoons in 8 hours…

My Point of View May Not Be Sane

Merry Meet,

How are you today? I am unwell, in a fun sense….lol…it has been an interesting week…I am so glad to sit and have time to hat with you…it has been so busy…here, have a Lifewater and take a seat

Massage has been going well…I see my clients making great strides in maintaining good health…writing notes to doctors, teaching patients about what would be best for them to eat for their situation- so that they might speak to their doctor about it and following up after the patient has seen the primary care…marketing in this business is a must, but should be done with care…look at the demographics for your area and find your target market…adjust to your market and set your parameters…it is good to update this knowledge at least every 6 months

I just finished a biology class and am now in political science...I love my school…it seems interesting so far…all about our government…the teacher has made it fun…I will keep you posted

AmericanBoudica has been on hold as I have been on the run and Chris has been sculpting… I love when he is flowing creatively…the art he brings to the table is amazing…I am blessed

The Circle is getting ready for Imbolc…white, blue, green and purple candles…I will be having a small bon fire…a joyous feast is a requirement of this holiday…I deep cleaned and did the shopping today so that all will be well for the morning…a time to celebrate the renewal of the year and of blessings yet to come…it is a time of hope and birth…reach out to an old friend, share a smile and a thought;)

The SunshinePaddle has kept me running…my endurance is going up as my waist goes down…making appearances, studying charts, office work and practice seem to consume my every free moment…I have so much work to do still and am in need of donations…at the moment it is a never ending labor of love…I am still looking for a pop up/ A liner…I am pushing for it as I need to start practicing on the other coast…I have faith…it will happen…I have been meeting many really cool people from a number of different states…I am thankful for so many from my own state standing behind me too…every day I see my dream…

My young niece Abbey has been born…8 pounds and 20 inches…my mom is in MA hanging out with her and her mother now…Dad will be going to see her soon…she looks like my grandma…she is the baby girly pirate- just too cute…Walter is refinishing the family cradle for her and dad found a doll cradle (it looks like a pirate chest…lol)…I found her sox with skull and crossbones:)..Walter found her a hoodie down in Siesta Key…

Walter will soon go for oral surgery…I do not handle dental issues really well…it is hard being supportive, though I am doing my best…I remember how hard it was when I had it done…I will keep you posted

I am needing help in the yard…the young lady who normally helps me has been have health issues and will not be back for sometime…we had a blithe hit the pond and all my fish died…I was crushed, most of them were 8-9 years old...if you know someone that could use the work please let me know

Alpha Lipoic Acid- Read about it- Talk to your doctor…it is the BIG DADDY of all the antioxidants…100mg 3 or 4 times a week will encourage good health

I will be making Chocolate lollys to help raise money for the trip…I have not made chocolates for a while…this promises to be fun…I have found some pirate pops and I am going to see how I can girly them up…if you want to help let me know…
