In a Liquid State of Mind

 

Hail and Good Day to You,

 

I am happy you have made time to stop and hang out…life has been busy, but good…I am sorry for not having time to stop sooner…let me fill you in on all that is happening...

Though I do love massage as we have spoke of previously, I will be shutting down…I feel at this time it is the right thing to do…Dale and I have started to close files…this has been hard- you see, I remember every massage I have ever given and these records touch that nerve…it leaves me sad, but looking ahead to what will come next…

Okay Rotherham Town Counsel…how freakin hard could it be to get phones up in an area that has bloody well been without for more than 3 months…it is not rocket science it is getting utilities running…Chris and I are trying to get work done, but his phones and internet have been down for quite some time…we are working on Book 3 and Chris is teaching me a new photo program, but as you can tell it is not going easy

School is way cool…I was so happy to go to the Boca Campus…it was huge and beautiful…it has been magical, all of the work was worth it- this was a dream I never thought I had a shot at…still working toward my master’s degree…Dreams can come true- just work for it…

I have applied for my teaching certification…it is my intention to get on at the children’s jail or may teach online…regular and focused…this will give me the ability to attain my other goals…fingers crossed

 

 

 

Nature’s Power and Energy has been busy with admin work- taxes are in, minutes to the yearly meeting have been entered…we have restructured to streamlined to work with a manufacturer…this should be a win for the county on several levels…the patent should be in by the end of the moth…cool baby

 

 

 

In the Circle of Boudica, we are excited as Beltane is close…I will have a fire this year…I am so excited…I plan on a BBQ type feast…I am trying to locate chairs and tables…please inbox me if you will be attending…

 

 

 

The Sunshine Paddle 2014 countdown has begun…workouts and menu in place…we just completed the Sun Ray Paddle…Samantha joined me…this was her first distance paddle…we made it just over 7 miles in 4 hours before her arms gave out…I was very proud of her…her determination was quite impressive…we got to meet 2 different dolphin pods…we saw sea turtles…AWESOME paddle...I can hardly wait until Taylor is done putting together the video:)

 

 

 

The flowers have been of deep hue this year…it must be due to the VERY mild winter we have been having…Dad has been running around keeping up with them and it shows…he has done a good job

Update City

Merry Meet,

I know I have been hella busy…so many things seem to be held in a sort of limbo…retrograde at its finest

After giving it much hard thought, I will be closing my massage business in August as it now costs more than I can make…new laws have made it so basically insurance no long has to pay massage therapy, I do medical massage- most of my clients were insurance based…several doctors have laid of many therapists in an already saturated market…I saw a sign on one lady’s car down to $20 per hour…though I love massage, my family needs to eat and this is no longer paying the bills…so if you want a shot at my table, you have until August…at this point, I need stable money with a more focused environment…

School has been a challenge…I am in an accounting class and sales management class also…yes, I have doubled up…I have faith…I passed my business management with an A…I will soon go for my cap and gown graduation to the Boca Campus for my Bachelors of Science…how freakin cool is that

Due to phone issues in the UK, American Boudica Publishing has been working at a snail’s pace…book 3 is still in the works…we will be marketing the TV show to The History Channel this week…still waiting on Taylor on the music for the ring tone…I feel there is a lesson I am supposed to learn here- maybe patience…

 

Nature’s Power and Energy has been swamped…our Dave has had to step down for health reasons…this has pushed me to much work harder- I have applied for a DUNS # (that makes us a woman owned company), I called Hoover Dam and had a long talk with a chief engineer- great guy loads of helpful info…spoke to a group from the Dept. of the Int. who is interested in me putting through an unsolicited proposal…working on the taxes…busy seems to be an understatement

 

Ostara is almost here…many soft colors and new life…the freshness of spring is not far as we see winter take its last breath…we ready our person for the dead run of summer thru to harvest…a time to feast...March 21 seems to be just around the corner...what will you do to celebrate the equinox...the new beginings will be abundant...so many are working to make it happen...

 

 

The Sunshine Paddle is getting ready for the start of the Sun Ray Paddle of the Pasco Edge of the Gulf of Mexico…Putting together this type of paddle is not easy and is far different that my normal east coast paddle…I am getting really excited…cool entrance packages, bbq at the end, etc…with a whole group going this should be loads of fun- great way to enjoy sea paddling for the first time or if you are an old hand:)

 

I took Walter shopping…bought him 2 new outfits and new shoes…he was so cute in his excitment…I made him model the clothes…it was fun…he never gets himself anything and at the end of the day he felt spoiled…in any relationship there is give and take…this should be equal on both parts:)

Using a Machete to cut through Red Tape

 

Merry Meet,

Juan Valdez did me right this morning…nothing better than a hot cup of coffee on a cold winter morning…I need the caffeine to get the blood pumping this morning…lately my days seem to never end…it is my true hope that it will soon pay off as I hate working for free

Though I love Massage, I may soon stop…in the last year after expenses, I made $500…to keep up the license in this state is going to be around $450…they will not allow any of my bachelors classes to stand for my continuing education credits…to be very honest, I am tired of fighting…it is something I really need to think on

My current class is all about building business strategy…I have to admit our text is quite amazing…the teacher for this class is not a great one, but the other students open your mind to many concepts and areas in which to range a business

American Boudica has been having technical difficulties…the phones between England and the USA have been having issues…this makes it hard on us- yes we do most of our work on the net, but there are some things that need a phone…Taylor has had issues with his day job and we are still waiting to hear back from him

 

At Nature’s Power and Energy we have been swamped…the second grant meeting went well…over the next 2 weeks, I will: put forth for patent, re-LLC and put in for phase 0 (the grant writing requisition)…I have been doing so much research- it is odd to see me without a computer, newspaper or book…Dave has had time to help me over the last week and we have been discussing the parameters- it is so cool to watch them become more well defined

 

 

Imbolc was celebrated at the gulf shore…hunting for shells…playing on the cannons…walking the shoreline…picnic on the beach…the start of spring is a special time of year…I am so hyper- I always try to see how much I can accomplish between now and Samhain…do not forget to compost all outdoor flower beds now…it is a blessed offering that will pay you back 100 fold

 

The SunshinePaddle has also been very busy…we switched from a charitable event to a charity…this brought on a ton of paperwork, but to accomplish our goals it is worth the headaches…lol…I made an appearance at the East Pasco Networking Group and spoke to the about the upcoming Sun Ray Paddle…it was held at the Village Inn in Zephyrhills- great service…training at De Soto is really a very interesting paddle…wildlife of all sorts and they are happy to share their area with you and show you all around…neat place to be

 

 

There comes a moment as you glide through the water…all else falls away…your arms and the paddle become one…plant, pull, follow through…plant, pull, follow through…the sound of a bird hitting the water- to see said bird break back to the air with a fish in his beak…to see schools of fish study you…the kayak has become one with your body…as you push, a burning feeling enters the lungs with the heavy smell of salt in the water…beside you soars a pelican…a feeling of freedom invades your being…this is but a taste of how I get to feel- I hope this helps you to understand how very lucky I am…it is a space of release and clear thought…it is an opportunity that I am ever so thankful for…may you all know the peace that moment brings me

Weeks like this…

Hello,

Glad you made time to stop by…I have been so busy…it will be sometime before again there will be time to sit and enjoy life…there is just way too much to do, but it seems I am holding up…

Massage has me strained at the moment…I am speaking with an attorney as in the great state of Florida I have a right to work…I will start by submitting a paper to the governor, the chief of the dept. of health and the CDC…while I do this I will make ready for a possible court battle…I practice medical massage and a new law states there is no such thing- this was done so car insurance would no longer have to pay for it…I love helping people…as a healthcare worker it is what I am trained for…my clients mean the world to me…if you wonder why there are fewer and fewer healthcare people around, let me explain…between the cost of continuing education, licensure and laws that prevent us from getting paid- it makes it really tough to go to work…

School has been difficult…not the subject, but the professor…I was raised to show teachers respect…this does not give carte blanche to bully me…in the end I had to file a formal complaint…I am quite upset about the whole thing

American Boudica has been busy…after much ado, the Animal Planet Submission was put into discovery and now we wait…the paddle would be a cool show…we are still working on book 3…the ringtone is waiting for Taylor to recover from the flu so it can be mixed…

In Nature’s Power and Energy we put together a business plan…I also had a meeting on federal grants at the Small Business Development Center…the mini worked well, now to make a full scale version…this means a lot of pounding pavement for money- I even applied to be on shark tank…

 

 

In the circle, I find myself questioning many things…one the children will soon die…as they stick more tubes in him- I wonder if death would not be his release from pain…he is a sweet child and I love him…I will pray for what is best…I hope many of my questions will be answered by or in the Imbolc Bon fire…

 

 

I am back to the workout schedule for The Sunshine Paddle…the Weeki Wachee has been a good place to do that…the Manatee have been plentiful…I have seen more than I know that are normally on the coast- almost like they have family visiting…it was nice to be invited back to Atonement Church…I went out on US19 and spoke to many small businesses about the upcoming Sun Pay Paddle too and how they could help…I am really kind of excited…I also stopped to speak to some people at the Pasco Hernando Hispanic Chamber of Commerce…this went really well and I got to meet many new people…it is wonderful to see how the people pull together to help out

I feel it will be a few months before I have time to chat…you can stop by, but please call first to make sure I am here…if you have old cell phones or stuff for the shelter- you can drop it with me and I will take it up there…if you have any cans of food you want me to take to the food bank, I will be going by there the end of the week- again you can drop it with me and I will take it

New Year Holds Great Expectations

 

Merry Meet,

I am happy to see you my child…the New Year is bristling with new business and relationships…I am quite excited

I have been looking at buildings to use for massage…I would like an office outside of the house and am choosing to put a outbuilding on my property rather than paying someone else rent…this will be a tremendous venture, as I will make all of the designs and choices on this project…it will even have its own bathroom…I also will add hydrotherapy and make it wheelchair accessible…lots of planning and work…I will also need to take CEUs soon (continuing education credits)- will keep you posted…

American Boudica Publishing will not be back from Holiday until Jan 14…many new things going on…book 3 and 4 will be out soon…the TV show on Animal Planet will (we hope) air by spring…the ringtone has been recorded and is now being mixed in the studio- Chris’s granddaughters are amazing singers…Taylor had some friends record the music for us…I am blessed with such creative people around me…a busy New Year is off and running

School starts back Jan 7…it has been a nice break…I have an accounting class and a business management class…YEA…though these are not my favorite subjects, it is a chance to make me a better business person and that is always a good thing…Everglades University is an amazing place to learn

The Explorer’s Academy will reopen on March 1…I have had several people who are wanting to have many of their children attend…we will keep you posted

 

  Nature’s Power and Energy, LLC has been busy through the holiday…I have an appointment to meet with the grant committee on the 8^th…writing the business plan was not easy…business cards should always be chosen carefully...mine should be here in just the nick of time…the prototype has gone through 4 incarnations…I am so impressed…it is very hard work

 

The Circle of Boudica has been a wonderful thing…we helped 9 families in 3 countries provide Santa for children- this is toys for the children and feast for the family…I am very proud that my congregation is so wonderful…I spent a week before Yule cleaning- all old energy was gotten rid of…on Yule we had a fabulous feast of ham, scalloped potatoes and corn with all the fixens…that night the bon fire burned bright…as I danced- I could feel the fresh new energy…too cool

 

Sunshine Paddle is on holiday until Jan 15…The Animal Planet show is based on what it takes to put the Sunshine Paddle together and all the Animals we interact with…The Sun Ray Paddle is currently being worked on…on the 6^th I will be speaking at the Atonement Church after Sunday service,  the 10^th of Jan…I will be on US19 from Holiday to Hudson talking to businesses about being in our ‘goodie bag’ for all entrants…I will be paddling the route to obtain pics and video…I should have these up in the next few weeks:) depending on weather…

 

All in all a good New Year has begun…it was good that you came to enjoy the fireworks…they were quite beautiful…saw many people having fun…a lot of old fashioned fun (horses, dirt bikes and swing sets) seemed to be in Santa’s sleigh and it was a joy to see them around the neighborhood…

Fancy a Game of Quidditch?

How is your day going? I am doing okay and working toward great…No, I have not lost my mind…I am aware of what is happening…our politicians have become so greedy they have courted a dangerous situation and can do nothing, but finger point…I see it this way- either we can stand around bitching about it or we can get off our respective asses and start working for solutions...

Massage has been slow…with money so tight, this is to be expected…the client calls started last week…I try to say ‘Happy Holidays’ to each client…it is nice to have time to listen to how their life is…Dale has been busy updating all the client files and is doing a good job:)

In school, I finished business management 1 with an A…from here I will double up classes…yet another accounting class and business management 2…YEA…so not lol…I love school and know I can do well...

 

American Boudica has been a busy place…Chris and I are hard at work on book 3 and it seems to be coming together swimmingly…Taylor and Chris’s granddaughters have been busy…I am inspired and feel fortunate to be a part of this…our first TV show will be submitted this week and if everything goes well it should air this spring

The Explorer’s Academy is still currently on hold until we get more cleared up…it is exciting to think home schooled children will be able to learn from teachers around the world…

Nature’s Power and Energy, LLC…we are now a real company…so much work is being done with this company, we are currently patent pending…I am working on the prototype and am looking for a good fabricator…if you know someone please have them call me

 

In the Circle, the celebration of Yule is afoot…we were able to take care of our congregation and 3 extra families…thank you all for being so generous…this is a holiday of love, kindness and generosity…do not allow people to change that energy or you give them power and people like that are not worth it…please burn a pink candle for the many lives lost…due to the HIGH amount of emotion, I will ask only green and white  candles be burned…red candles carry heavy emotion and should be put up until next year…thank you for understanding

The Sunshine Paddle is being booked…Debby and I are working the path…we have started Holiday Break until January 3, 2013…I was given a donation that was more than I could use…I took several cases to our local food pantry…if you have more than others, please share what you can

The Sun Ray Paddle is coming together…I am talking to many business owners to make sure the welcome packet is full of goodies…I am working with a hotel that has done a green rebuild- this is so cool and in our county- who knew? Mrs. Cooper will be mailing the packages Feb. 1, 2013…I have also been paddling the route in several directions to make it as safe for those with me as possible

Since most of my family and friends live around the world my Yule shopping is done early…so this time is not so stressful for me as it is for others…I tend to think more…I ask the dangerous question- ‘how can I make someone smile’…another crazy question- ‘how can I make someone else’s life better even when it does nothing for me’…I answer these questions several times a day…for answering, to me is given laughter and wisdom…this is something money cannot buy…then again, Bill Gates and I have never been stuck in the jungle for to me to show my skills…lol…laughter is one of the best tools we have…to listen is to attain wisdom…if I listen, I know what you know and I know- if not, I only know what I know…to be able to laugh and to be wise are priceless- they can’t be bought…you have to come by them through some effort on your part…so worth it, try it and get back to me…

 

I can not and will not attempt to make sense of stupid people…to do so would use my energy in a negative sense that would in fact be futile…I have had to bury a child, actually 4 total so far…it is not easy…you want to say what if- there is no what if…it has nothing to do with you as a parent…it hurts like hell…focus enough to get through and then honor the child by doing the most positive thing you can…I wish I could hug them an let them know tomorrow exists

Chick - a - Boom, Chick - a – Boom

How be you this very cold day??? I got everything ready for winter in just the nick of time- even found my only pair of pants…I pray ye got your life flipped in time also…I am so glad you had time to visit…yes, my fridge is empty- though Thursday was a disaster, I ran out and bought new on Friday and it was so good there is none left…

Massage has become a private thing for me…I will only see you if you are a current client, referral from a current client or direct contact with me…with so much going at the current moment, I feel this is best for my clients…just before the holiday I had a client come in from Okeechobee and another from Tallahassee…I am thankful and grateful for such amazing clients

School is going well…business management is not an easy class…I really enjoy the discussions…my school work peaks my curiosity and then I am on the fast track to research central…lol…I am thankful to be in school

American Boudica has been swamped…I am in the throes of book 3 and I am having such a good time with it…we are getting ready to tape the TV show…at times it seems like there is no time left in the day and 20 more things left to do…poor Chris…I am thankful he puts up with my hyper self:)

The Explorer’s Academy has been put on hold…with holidays upon us and so much else going on we have chosen to revisit this in March when time loosens

Nature’s Energy…this has me giddy like a school girl…we are awaiting the design pattern…it is my hope to start the incorporation paperwork this week…I spoke with Dave my ET on the project and he is currently looking for parts to make a mock up out of…how cool is that…we should have answers soon

 

In the Circle of Boudica we prepare for the Feast of Yule…green, white and red candles…songs of cheer and merriment…if you have extra food or maybe an extra present, I have an angel tree up the street that could use the help…

The weather here has grown cold, thankfully I got to all my flowerbeds last week…it amazes me that Dad’s flowers are still blooming…he really has a green thumb or should I say hook

Warm Cider

 

1 Macintosh Apple

1 Fuji Apple

2 C Apple Cider

½ t each Allspice, Nutmeg

2 Cloves

Cinnamon 2 Sticks

Warm above slowly over low heat to just below boiling

Strain

Add 2 shots Rum (optional)

Drink

Dreams Worth Workin For

 Merry Meet,

My friend it is good to see you…recently there has been much to think on…it is my intention, to move myself forward…it is amazing to see it happening…just not how I expected

Massage is still going well…I am going to remain sole proprietor in private practice…this way I can attend to my current clients without becoming overwhelmed, this allows me to take on new clients only at my discretion…though medicine is my passion…at the moment, it is not the only thing in my life…

American Boudica Publishing and Media has been busy as Chris and I wrap up Book 3…Taylor and I will beta test our app next week…we hope to get the ringtone recorded in the next few weeks- this will be so cool…We will also be filming for our first TV show this week- so much planning…I am blessed with such a great crew

School has brought much to my line of vision…this business management class goes into detail…I like how the text uses real world examples…thoughts that happen in discussion seem to come from several directions at once (in a good way) and has really opened my eyes…

I am currently looking for a class venue for The Explorers Academy…I have a few teachers lined up…it is exciting to see interest from all over the world…I will keep you posted as more information becomes available

Natures Energy is now awaiting the design patent on project 1…how cool will that be…my first patent…project 2 needs more detail in the drawing before I put it up for design patent…I will soon be incorporating this company...it is my first attempt at an energy company, but I am confident 

Okay…not really sure how to express this…I am so thankful…so many taking time to help me put all of it together…I know that I hit the ground running, but it takes a village…really neat to have come this far and to continue moving forward...thank you all for believing in my dreams with me

In the Circle this week we send forth hope of healing…I will ask you to burn a white candle and pray for hope…many have lost hope, this is not the time for that…one must ask in prayer to heal our hearts and restore hope…opportunities are not far and we must have faith

Sunshine Paddle is starting to get booked…we will place the chart on site soon…Chris and Taylor have been working to help me format an entrance form for the Sunray Paddle…went up to Weeki Wachee to practice…the 5 mile trip is full of wild life and interesting people

 

The garden beds have been happy to have all the extra attention that winter brings…weeding and turning in compost…with all the warmer than usual weather it has afforded us a longer growing season…Dad’s flowers are still blooming

The animals have gotten their winter dip…I find fresh veggies help keep their coat soft and shiny…though each one likes different things, no one will eat it unless I have a bite first…lol…the kids used to be the same way…Draco is so old that his hair is starting to fall out (mostly on his butt)- we call it the Trump comb over and it looks about as real…

So as you can see it has been a little hectic…oh yes, I did not forget

 

 

 

 

 

Ginger Root Tea

Ginger root  

Water

Cut 2-4 thin slices of ginger from the root (depending on the size of the cup and your taste preference) and place inside a cup.

 Pour boiling water into the cup. Allow your ginger tea too steep for a couple of minutes to a drinkable temperature. Enjoy this as it aids in digestion:)

Today Has Blessings, Tomorrow Has Promise

Merry Meet My Old Friend,

How say you? It is happy I am to be seeing your smile…it has been a strange autumn and I feel quite blessed that our area has been spared the devastation that many have gone through…

Massage has been hanging in…I find with money so tight, many forgo regular treatment and mainly come in under urgent care…in some ways, I love this as it allows me to focus on pathology and really work out treatment protocols…it amazes people who come in with back pain when I grab their leg/ arm/ neck, push on a few spots and the back pain is gone…I am not omnipotent, I just get a lot of practice…

In school, I am currently in Business Management…it is going well…very thought provoking…since this class is done on an open discussion format, I get almost as much from the other students as I do the teacher…

American Boudica Publishing has been busy…Chris has done quite a bit of wonderful artwork for our facebook page…he and I are working diligently on writing book 3…I am so excited- I can hardly wait to share it

The Explorer’s Academy will soon be my classroom…I have been asked by several people about classes on different subjects…I will keep you posted

Nature’s Electric is now being formed and formatted…this is a company that has green forms of energy that will soon hit the market…ways to make or conserve electric without the use of fossil fuel…

In the Circle, it was a lovely Samhain…many of the family and friends came by…many pics of fires held around the world was such a blessing…so much awesome food found its way to my table…on this same night, many were in the middle of a horrid storm…for these we will chant/pray…as a person who has been through many horrid storms, my heart goes out…

Dad has been working wonders around the yard…he has been doing one section each day…though he complains about it, I feel he really he enjoys it and God knows it makes happy yard plants:)..I have started putting my plants through winter prep…clean them, crop them and winter compost mix…since I went on the paddle and ignored a lot of it, there is a lot of work to do

The Sunshine Paddle 2014 is in prep mode…we will be asking people to step up and sponsor a day…I am also putting together the Sun Ray Paddle 2013…Chris has been helping with artwork…sweet…Chris and Greg are helping me put together entrance forms…Catherine Cooper will be the treasurer for this event…I will post more info on the paddle website as it becomes available…I was happy to get so many pics of girly pirates…it was humbling

 

Did you know that lemons help with fleas??? Boil 4 lemons for 5 minutes in 3 cups water…put to one side and cool…strain into spray bottle…spray bedding, carpet or rubbed into dogs coat to aid in keeping fleas at bay...

Fill a jar with (organic) citrus peels and pour undiluted white vinegar over them. Leave for a few days (up to 2 weeks) and strain out the vinegar to use as a natural cleaner. It works as a window cleaner (dilute with water), for mopping floors or for disinfecting surfaces.

Yes, I have been busy…it was good to see you at the fire…I was happy to hear that you are moving forward in your life…it is an inspiration and helps me to push forward…it only takes one snowflake to start a mighty blizzard
